Our second, and final day, at Yellowstone was spent exploring the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, multiple waterfalls, seeing a TON of bison, and checking out Mammoth Hot Springs! Just like our first day, the park continued to amaze us with its diverse and beautiful scenery. We'll be back Yellowstone!

So glad you got to see Yellowstone while you are so young and healthy. I was a grandpa many times over and just a little while after the heart attack which was the only limiting factor to my enjoyment. We descended the other side of the canyon and the kids got behind and helped push me back up and out. There really is so much to see. A waterfall or geyser around every corner and wildlife everywhere. Thanks for taking me along for some rekindled memories.

My two cents on the favorite of the two parks is they’re both awesome in their own way and you’re right you have to go to Yellowstone if you’ve never been but as for me and my family we have been so much that we often just go to the Tetons now I think once you’ve been to Yellowstone a handful of times the Tetons keep calling you back for a lifetime. But Yellowstone has a very special place in my heart and it’s always fun bringing people there that have never seen it before. Also in the mini trips we have spent going up there every trip is unique and special and we could never get tired of going

Some thing I’ve learned in the last 20 years of sunrises and sunsets is that weather can sometimes make them the most dramatic pictures/ moments, colors if your lucky. Just thought I would share. So cool! Love me some yellowstone

We were there in 2014 & going back in 2024. If you go back try to get to the hotel in Monmouth. In the early morning, every morning, there is a heard of Elk that comes out of the woods & down a small hill. They walk right in front of you. I was so busy photographing them didn’t notice the one I was photographing was about 2 feet in front of me. Oh, that was when I heard my wife yelling for me to move back. 😂

For others planning their trip our favorite hike to the lower falls is “the brink”. Powerful.

If you guys end up seeing this. I saw you guys have been doing a bit more backpacking. I just finished the Thorofare Trail to South Boundary Trail in Yellowstone. I highly recommend it! There’s some great backcountry campsites along the way!

Ok guys, what would you prioritize for one day in Yellowstone? I think the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone looked awesome and Grand Prismatic? We have our doggos so the 2nd day we can't really do any hiking!
