Yellowtail and Bluefin fishing on the Producer Sportfishing June 3rd -4th 2023 Overnight Offshore

Over Night Offshore fishing trip on the Producer out of H & M Landing June 3rd -4th 2023 . Fished Early mornign Bluefin with no bites , ended up patty hopping for a great take home for the day . Weather was gloomy at first and sun broke through by the end of the day . Water was glassy for the most part and we ended the day on some Bluefin blowing up on the surface. We could not get them to play . 14 Anglers brought in 65 California Yellowtail, 1 Pacific Bonito and 1 Spanish Jack .
I fished (5) rod setups #1 8ft Graphtec Rail rod with Penn Fathom 60 , 80lb braid and 80lb leader . #2 8ft Seeker Black Steel with Penn Fathom 30 , 50lb braid and 50lb leader . #3 8ft Squidco Custom Graphx rod with Okuma Blue Special 12 , 50lb braid and 40lb leader . #4 8ft Squidco Custom Graphx rod with Accurate Tern 300 , 50lb braid and 40lb leader . #5 Penn Battle 4 combo 6ft , 50lb braid and 40lb leader .

It’s so funny, I’ve been away from charters for 4-5 years… Fish on was the normal term and now everyone screams biter. Never heard that until I started going out again this year. So funny how the community changes unanimously.

🤣🤣 as a matter of fact " The daily bag and possession limit is ten fish. The minimum size limit is 24 inches fork length (PDF)(opens in new tab), except that up to five fish less than 24 inches fork length may be taken or possessed.May 1, 2023 " haters gonna hate . 😜 you can throw them back when you go on a trip and id respect your decision. Put those babies back. What are they about 3-4 lbs? Let them get bigger. I know they are concerned about numbers. They should be concerned about the future of the fishery.

Victor , I used 50lb braid with 40Lb floro leader , hook size about 1" . Sorry im not good with hook sizing . It was a pretty wide open bite . Thank you for watching ,hope to see you out there sometime .

6480h? Which black steel you got and do you like it?

William , it's a G 6480 8' CT . cork deck hand style handle ..it can handle large tuna no problem , landed an over 60lber on it .. I like it alot , but the cork wrap isn't as sturdy as you would think , but not a deal breaker . Thank you for watching, hope to see you out there sometime.
