I just picked up one of these kits last week, this era is my favorite ear of cars.

How bout a MCV sticker for everyone who participates? Then they can display it with their “trophy”.

I built the 32 Cadillac V16 Sport Phaeton so many years ago. I painted very little of it and I bought my 41 Lincoln Continental because it looks sweet!

This sounds cool. Looking forward to everyone's results. I have about seven of the Classics to build, but they aren't on my agenda. I have to finish all started builds and gift models before I start any other models. Still have about thirty plus to go, and my son keeps buying me more. Two were added at Christmas.

I built the Monogram Classic Rolls Royce, Cadillac, and Mercedes Benz cabriolet during the 70s when I was a kid. I remember them being great kits.

My dad bought a Monogram Deusenberg dual cowl phaeton slot car kit back in the mid 1960s. It was a slightly different body than the one you showed which has a round trunk back. His had the tub style back body. Molded in bright blue. The slot car kits of these were the same body as the static shelf model, but had a slot car chassis underneath. He had me build it for him. We had a slot car track on a 4x8 table in our garage then. A road race course. I still have some parts of the Deusy in a box of slot car stuff in my garage now. In the 80s or 90s I worked on a restoration of a full size 31 Cadillac town car. Damn. Those brake drums were big enough for a 5 ton truck! Operated by link rods, no hydraulics. Everything on that car was massive. These big cars never quite flipped my switch. But my dad owned a limo (IIRC a 36 or 37 Packard) after WW2 that he would chauffeur for hire. Since that was in the LA area, many of his customers were celebrities. He would also tow his Kurtis-Offy midget to races behind it. He was fond of what he called "the big cars" that I never latched onto. I was always more interested in a 31 Ford than a 31 Deusenberg. But I will watch this group build and think of dad.

I plan on entering this contest. However I am currently 500 miles away from my stash.

Great video Matt. I like the classic car Monogram kits. I still have the original issue Duesenberg Phaeton sealed in the box from the late sixties. Ill wait to see how yours comes out before i decide to tackle mine.

I'm looking forward to seeing that 327engine. I'm building a replica of the 67 Camaro RS that I bought when I came home from Viet Nam in 1967. Do you know if anyone can resin print a center console that doesn't have the gauge cluster on the console because my Camaro didn't have that option
