When my husband passed, I kept a voice message from him, just to hear his voice, quickly. I have videos, and such, but I loved that message. My daughter deleted it by mistake. I was so upset. I understand about the messages he left, but don't be so upset. One thing they can't take are your memories. I chose to let that comfort me. I had over 20 years, that can't be deleted. Now, I might not remember everything, but Beautiful memories come to me every day, thank God. He wrote me lots of poems, and funny things I keep in a safe. Just try to remember, they only took the hard copy, not the heart ❤ copy 😊 hugs, love, and prayers

Absolutely crafting is my therapy ! After I lost my Husband, nearly 14 years ago, crafting has been such a relief and distraction for me. I live with physical challenges ,as I call it, so making journals has become one of my passions. I totally understand you being upset about losing things from your sweetie. I had several voice messages I had saved. When I got a new phone I lost them all. I still have lots of hand written notes ,cards and letters from my Honey. But my memories will remain. Praying for you E !! Love this journal !

Edith, lovely journal. Crafting is a therapy for me. Even my husband knows that when I say I just need ten minutes, he is good with that. Some days I only have a short time before I go to bed. It definitely helps take your mind off of things. It is so hard to lose someone you care about. It’s been a hard month, lost a close friend due to a work related accident! He was only 53, way too young. I can go to my craft room and just get lost. Have a great crafty relaxing day!

I call my husband the frequent flyer of doctors visits. I basically retired to chauffeur him around. But retirement allows me to craft my little heart out. Win, win. You and Melina were almost the very first artists I started following. Thank you for being my therapy.

I lost my husband about 6 years ago on May 25. I lost my mother the very next day May 26. Hi on Friday and her on Saturday! It was too much! I miss my husband and my mother! I will not tell you it will get better! The only thing I have learned is I feel his lost everyday. Some how I feel he is with me in my heart! One other point to say is to take your time grieving. No one can tell you how long to grieve! They will say things to you!❤❤❤

You are such a true inspiration. I enjoyed how you showed us how you can take a journal that was originally for one holiday and turn it into something else more general. It’s also nice to see your working process through your journal. I understand the importance of being able to retrieve records of memories from FB - especially of your late husband. I lost my mom just over 3 years ago and still have voicemails on my phone from her so I can still hear her voice when the need arises. I haven't been able to craft for over a year. Due to husband's illnesses have had to assume everything about running a holding and being his memory. So many appts to keep track of has been overcoming. Watching your videos has been a wonderful outlet. i appreciate your dedication and work that goes into your Utube. Bless you!

Very pretty Journal. It finally warmed up early last week her in central Alberta Canada. It actually went above 0C/32F/Freeze Point.during the day with a warm wind. We usually have very still air or light breeze but we had a warmish wind around 20 kph., which was enough to melt all the snow finally. Then starting about Friday it got cooler crawling barely over 0C during the day and below zero at night. Then around Sunday, we got lucky here. A cold weather snow storm hit southern Alberta. The snow fell south of the Edmonton International Airport which was initially built quite a ways South of Edmonton but over the years the city has been building more and more until it's only a few miles south of the city. As I said it fell just south and the city of Calgary which is 302k/187.7 miles south of use got a foot and a half of snow. This week it has been colder since then, going below 0 at night and barely creeping over 0 during the day. Our weather is usually clear but in April and sometimes early May we get a snow dump after the trees start budding out. Farmer usually put out their crops at the beginning of May years ago and if we get snow it just adds moisture to the ground. As global warming has affected us they would start planting during the last week of April and this year I heard, depending on the weather the farmer with lots of crops to plant, are thinking of planting maybe a week earlier. That's not to say anyone could start planting a garden yet. Usually our last frost day was the weekend of the 1st holiday of spring,. With global warming, a lot of people plant a week earrlier and some people take a risk and start planting their gardens sometimes closer to 2 weeks before the holiday called Victoria day (After Queen Victoria from the Victorian period the 1800's around May 21st August week before Americans celebrate Memorial day. Really it's just a made up holiday which people head out to the lake and brave the cold water. Or enjoy the 1st long weekend of spring/summer. We start getting longer and longer days after the short days at Christmas until the 1st day of summer. Right now the sun will be up 13 minutes longer than today a full 14 hours up and since we live on the Prairie We start getting light between 1/2hr to 1hr before and after sunrise and sunset.

This is a great journal. You make it look so easy. I'm working on my first journal and I sometimes find myself just staring at it wondering what I should do next. It's not as easy as I thought it would be. I think it's because I want to do so many things you've shown us how to do that I can't seem to make a decision. Sigh..... Prayers for your daughter!

It has been my calming place and especially after the past 5 months with Mum in/out of hospital. On 9 March 2024 I've lost my Mum and 12 March was my birthday. Her birthday was 30 January and she turned 86. We didn't have a Christmas or New Years with her being in hospital. I was her carer of 14 October 2010 when Dad passed away and the last 4 years in all aspects. I know she is at peace but I do miss her and I know it's going to take quite some time to be okay with her being gone.😢

I love the idea of folding over the edges of pockets like the tall pocket you added to cover the valentine theme. It really has a nice look with finished edges instead of cut edges. Love it!
