This song just brings me to my knees. How dare I ever doubt the Lord and his goodness! No matter our situation, we always have a reason to praise the Lord, to glorify his name and to give thanks through prayer: we always have JESUS, salvation and the hope of worshiping the Father FOREVER in heaven. For years, Vertical Worship has faithfully provided the church with songs that hold true to actual truths in the bible and point to God's character and what our rightful response to his glory should be. Great channel. I admit that we seem to differ in a little bit of theology, but we also seem to share a lot of common ground and I find your teaching moments to be very encouraging. You have a wonderful gift of wisdom to redirect the attention of your viewers back to a Christocentric focus and away from the "me centered" "internal processing/feelings centered" focus of a lot of modern worship. Even the process by which you screen the songs you would choose for your upload content has a "ministry" minded criteria to it and I admire you for it. Keep loading quality tutorials, and keep pointing people to Jesus.

I'm guilty of not being excited about a song because the parts are boring or it's a boring song to play. But nine times out of ten those are the songs that impact our services the greatest and give hope to our congregation. That's what's most important.

I think there's something to be said about lyrically simple songs that are theologically true being insanely popular. Probably two most universally liked songs(modern songs): good good father and How He Loves. Neither song has the complexity or deep theology of something like So Will I. They are so basically and fundamentally true that anyone can resonate with them, because God IS good and he does love is so much. Also God isn't picky. He doesn't need us to be clever, he just desires our worship in whatever form that comes as long as it is genuine.

Well when God promises you promises something to you and will bring what he has promised but it's going come when we spend more time with him and seek after and to his calling we can be able to go and have evidence that God is faithful to his promises

Hey, great video as always, great tones and playing. Really appreciated the word you shared. I used to be more worshipful in some ways in my playing, but sometimes I find myself not wanting to play a certain song because "I don't like that one much" and it's really kind of lame.... I have been given so much, and I worship the best when it is all about Him. Then the rest comes and falls in place.

Love it man! Thanks for being willing to share this! Two songs im really getting into right now.: Real Thing by Vertical. I’m really loving this one right now because it’s such a great reminder that God’s love, not anything of this earth is the real thing. Love the lyrics on this one. Faithul to the end by Bethel is the other one. I really love this one for the reminder that God’s faithfulness is always here and that no matter what we do God will be faithul to us. Not a ton of crazy fun guitar parts on these but definitely some great lyrics on these.

You talked about Biblically faithful songs in our churches today. How would you rate "Reckless Love" in that category?

Hi there. My conviction is that Reckless Love completely misses the mark. Are some of the words true? Yes. But I don’t believe asking a congregation to call God (or God’s love, as the writer claims) reckless is biblically faithful or responsible. It simply just isn’t true of God. He’s given us ways to describe his character in the very Word he breathed out. We can choose from those adjectives. I wrote something about that if you care to read it. This is a great tutorial! I just have a question: I purchased your "Kitchen sink" pack for the POD GO, and noticed you have the patch for this song. You have for snapshots: Chor/bridge - Blues stuff - Big OD - Ambient. I am trying to figure out exactly how to use them. Could you please help me out with this? I don't know what to use for the verse, or how to use that ambient shot since it is very loud. Thank you, God bless!

You're a good player and give good instruction. That said have you considered doing these with a more modest pedalboard? I enjoy pedals as much as the next guitar player, but I don't think you need that much of a board to help teach the essence of the songs.

I just think it's a shame because in my opinion you create un-obtania/fear of missing out for some players in my opinion.

Thank you, Ken, for sharing. Don't forget repentance of sins. The sinner's prayer is completely unbiblical. Anyone reading this, you'll know when God regenerates your heart and gives you faith to believe on him, repent of your sins and walk in newness of life. It won't be a mystery. Blessed assurance!!!

Guitar pro file didn't work. And your tab isn't what you are playing. You tabbed it out as a series of double stops, when it's actually single note lines. And you are missing notes on the tab as well. At least it's ballpark. That's about it, ballpark. D minus. caveat emptor

duf101101 Yeah, that’s how I play it now. Sounds bigger! Try it. Would you like me to tab it out with the single notes in the bridge and send it? Also, regarding the GPRO file, can you be more specific about it not working? I made it in GPRO, so it obviously shouldn’t work. 😂 Let me know!

@@GuitarforHISGlory No I can ear it out. It's all good. I have GP5. Your suffix was just .gp . It just says unknown file cannot open, even when I added the "5". For me not a big deal, just I paid for it. 5 bucks so again not a big deal. I'm advanced enough it's not a big deal for me. I posted the above more for beginners. Worship Leader chose this song in line up. I never knew it before. I go live tomorrow so that's why I went ahead and paid. I'll be praying over the sick in hospital tonight so that doesn't leave much "Figure it out time". I just use the tab to isolate what scale/chords/modes to play around in, more than exactly note for note anyway, sometimes note for note when it really fits and sounds good. Mostly where on the neck to tool around. So I guess I'll be watching this video all night tonight. Cheers.
