Hi Mimi! Luv this...because, when I first started out doing vintage looking journals, I did not have many supplies, nor money, so my first distress ink was shoe polish, just like this! And, actually is just fine, and more affordable! Great tip! TFS xo

WOW! That works! I know Crafty Irene used the liquid shoe polish a lot. A very cheap way to stain pages! And yes I bought the paste but I believe I’ve never used it LOL!! Have a wonderful blessed day! Love ❤️ you, momma

Thanks for experimenting and checking out the shoe polish, Margie! I have one of those brown round tipped brushes too and didn't know what to use it for and now I have one purpose for it. I've been debating about paying for the Graphics Fairy membership and I'm leaning towards doing it now. I really want to learn about photo shop too. TFS the inspiration!

I’ve used shoe polish in the past but not on the edges. Will have to try it

@@MimisCraftyShoppe Thank you so much. She had done a doll journal a couple years ago and I ran across it on KZfaq not long ago. I had made a comment on one of the videos asking her if she had a kit out for it because she does on some of her items and I never heard from her. I am a doll collector and I would love to make that journal. I did look on her Etsy store and I did not see anything so I guess she does not. Have a great day.

Patricia Dowd she is a real sweet lady and helped me out a bunch when I first started my Etsy store, but she is so popular now I’m sure she misses some questions but I’ll look on it for u seems like I seen a kit about dolls....
