Actual correct naming is Nürburgring Nordschleife. So both kinda means the same, BUT Nürburgring can also refer to just the GP track, so it CAN be confusing. 90% of the time, people know whats up though :D

To clarify some confusion when it comes to the Nürburgring. Originally, the Nürburgring had four configurations, namely the Gesamtstrecke ("Whole track"), which in turn consisted of the Nordschleife ("North loop") and the Südschleife ("South loop"). There was also a warm-up loop called the Zielschleife ("Finish Loop") or Betonschleife ("Concrete Loop"), around the pit area. Between 1982 and 1983, the start/finish area was demolished to create the new GP-Strecke (GP track), where all major and international racing events are held; the shortened Nordschleife is still used for racing, testing and public access. Fun fact: The GP-Strecke and Nordschleife are connected and make up one rather long race track.

Nordscheife just means "north loop" which is the big long part of the of the Nürburgring everything thinks of. The other part of Nurburgring is the GP track which is the short "normal" circuit. So they are both technically the Nurburgring. Or part of it anyways. Kinda similar to how Ebisu has multiple tracks but you can call any of them Ebisu and still be technically correct.

So.. the Nurburgring is the whole location. The Nordschleife is the long route of the circuit, you know the 20 KM, god knows how many corners are there and how many people died there. It's called Nordschleife because it is the Northern Course of the track. There is also the GP track (Used in F1 until the 2010's I believe, and used by other motorsports today), the Endurance Layout (Nordschleife and GP tracks combined) and finally there used to be the Sudschleife (Southern Course) way back like in the '60s, but it got dismissed. Pretty sure that there is a mod on Assetto Corsa for it.

Nürburgring is the name of the entire racing complex in Germany. the most famous part is the Nordschleife (German for North Circuit/Loop), the 13 mile long circuit with all the graffiti painted across the surface. It's known as the Green Hell, has over 70 corners, and 1,000ft of elevation changes from lowest to highest point(!), and runs through 3 different towns. There's also the Südschleife (South Circuit/Loop), which is a little over 3 miles long. The two circuits can be set up to connect for longer races.

Nordshleife is like the north loop of the track where like f1 Is held. And Nürburgring is the full track where the WEC cars race for Le Mans, so your pretty much correct and I guess its the same sort of track.

ight goose so the nordshleife is the big ass track used in endurance racing, the nurburgring is the smaller track that had f1 cars race back in the day (yes also many years ago f1 cars raced also in the big ass nordshleife with lauda setting a 6 minute lap in the either 60s or 70s) but both together make the nurburgring nordshleife with is a combination of both and a pain in the arse. also how tf do i remember and know all this BULLSHIT but i can't remember a couple of pages to study for school

Nürburgring is the track, Nordshleife is the layout. So you have the Nürburgring GP and the Nürburgring Nordshleife. We usually just say Nürburgring because we know we're talking about the Nordshleife anyway.

The low rider motorfest clip can be done in free roam as well, you can also do wheelies with cars when you accelerate really quickly from being still.

So Nürburgring is the name of the whole track and there are different race layouts. Here is a list of the layouts: -Nürburgring Nordschleife -Nürburgring Tourist Layout -Nürburgring GP -Nürburgring Sprint -Nürburgring 24h -Nürburgring Endurance And there was a lot more layouts in the past.

nordshlife is the 24 hour layout without the gp part where Nürburgring is usualy what f1 race the gp part. 24hour are usualy races with both layouts at the same time as they make one big track

By the way Nordschleife and nürburgring are both correct, Nordschleife is for track days and nürburgring for race days (including another part of the track that extends the Nürburgring even more)
