Great review! I just got one last weekend as a gift and wanted to check out the reviews on here! I've even used the zipper lubricant to make it not quite such an effort to open! And you are SOOOO right! Look at all that room inside! Stay cool in that re-manufacturing plant and keep making those great videos!

I wasn’t sure WHAT your end recommendation would be at the beginning of the review, but it was easy at the end! Ha! And now I’m looking at the accessories like the Molle bottle opener or the Molle Zinger retractable tool with the Yeti Bottle Key Opener. Do you use the Yeti Ice or is a 10 lb bag of REAL ice good enough if the cooler is pre-chilled? Thanks again for a very informative video, Walter, and for reaching out! I use yeti ice for sure. I actually don’t pre chill this one. I do pre chill my yeti haul though. I use the 4lb ice and 3 2 lb ice on the bottom then my stuff then cover with regular ice. It says cold in direct sun by the pool for days. My stuff in the smaller hopper 12 stays cold all day long with 1, 2lb yeti ice. I would like to get the bottle holder for the side of the hopper cooler!

Hey! Nice review, How's the zipper thing so far? been seeing some bad reviews for the zipper. I wanna get 1 also, but for the price point it's really hard to decide because of the zipper issue, I live in southeast asia. and we don't have a service center here. Thanks bud!

NEVER had an issue with zipper. It gives some resistance when you try to zip and unzip it but that’s good it locks tight when she zip it closed you pull it a little bit harder and I’ll click into place and completely seal the cooler. I work in 110 to 120° weather during the summer and a hot factory my ice pack is still cold at the end of the day never had one problem with it and it washes very easily! I hope I’ve helped you. I waited for a black Friday sale and got it for $200 USD

There is also a tube of zipper lubricant kind a looks like Chapstick that comes with the cooler very easy to use

How’s it holding up now that you’ve had it even longer? I am thinking about getting one for the wife as the roadie gets pretty heavy for her once filled. This seems like a good fit…anymore zipper issues? Anything new to report? Thank yoj

I did have a problem with my first one. The zipper caught on the surrounding fabric and ripped it. Yeti replaced it and even paid shipping. Have had no problems with the second one .

Nice. Hey should mention to wax the zipper with yeti wax that came w it. Or just common beeswax important w “dry zippers”. It’s necessary to make it last and not get fouled up. The zippers are expensive they are the same on my diving dry suit. And make sure no sand gets in the teeth.

I actually had a problem with the zipper on one of my coolers. The sent prepaid postage and I sent the problem unit back and they sent me a brand new one. Also I’ve never had this cooler not keep things cold. Make sure your following the recommended instructions on their site to keep your cooler the coldest!

I have I used there $20 ice packs and it might last 4-6 hours I have a Milwaukee lunch box that has stayed cold with cheap Walmart ice packs 12-16 hours
