I found this song about 4 years ago, freshly out of college, just broke up with my ex because his family was moving overseas and we couldn't stand the distance. It wasn't a violent goodbye. Much like this one. We both mutually decided that maybe it was time we went on different paths to grow as individuals. It was difficult at first, getting used to doing things by myself. But everyday was a step towards being okay with it. I still listen to this song often. And it reminds me only of good memories.

I've been in a 2 year relationship, I am not well versed in being romantic. I always blame myself why we have to end it, with every weight come pouring at me, near to breaking down weeks before my Birthday. 2 weeks after my birthday she told me we should break up.
