(not sure which episode, but?) yedam and doyoung while yoshi and mashi are the pair for their mini duel for basketball haha i love the way mashi asked doyoung smugly if he plays basketball well and doyoung said yes and boi hahaha i laughed so hard when he said ; *BETTER THAN ME?* CAUSE HE KNOWS REALLY WELL THAT HE'S GONNA WIN. This is my favourite performance of Mashiho and that says something especially that highnote at 2:04 is heavenly. YG you better use our ace talent in much better way. *Takata Mashiho* a Japanese trainee, trained for 5 years and you can see the fruit of those years. This guy sings, dance and rap, visual is just a bonus. An all around idol. Despite being a nobody when he went to Korea now has the one of the biggest fanbase both inside and outside KR. He earned it. A japanese trainee but got 1st in onsite and online voting for the final performance? Not to mentioned those less screentime he gets at ygtb (same with Yoonbin) imagine if he gets the screentime he deserved? He will be scary competitor to other trainee.

Mashiho has a great confidence and knows himself well and his abilities He knew yg would choose him cuz he knew what matters to yg Yg doesnt care about big vocal range or how much of high notes you hit he cares abt the vocal tone and how charming u r and how entertaining you re onstage which is exactly what mashiho did He was very relaxed on stage very flexible with his vocals and he gave the song a totally bew flovor

Very well said. I kinda notice that YG never really up to high tones because fans don't really care much about that and singers could totally work on that. He oversee that the quality of Mashiho's voice is more fitting to the group.

True. During the YGTB era, although I appreciated Mashi's skills, I was rooting more for Seunghun on this battle coz I was more Team A + jihoon. But listening to this again now, I could see why YG chose him instead of Seunghun. Mashi could make you feel the message of the song, he makes you relate to him more. Watching the video, you can see that Mashi enjoyed performing more, while Seunghun had this "i have to show what i got" vibes (understandable coz it's a competition and team A seemed to be feeling the bigger pressure that time).. Again, papa YG showed his eye for talent..

I don't think it's because Mashiho's vocals are more pop like, it's that his voice reaches further than just the ears, it goes to the heart. That's what makes it sound so soothing, not because his vocal are more pop like.

I love how Mashiho sings really natural, enjoying the music and giving audiences the emotions of the song. No need for fancy techniques, just the natural flow which gives a beautiful color to the song. He does not sing with high notes but his style is very charismatic and easy to the ears.

Ngl mashiho is sooooo damn good in singing.. he never messed up no matter what song you gave him.. he even can rap damn it! He is not even my bias but ngl I always look forward to his performance in ygtb.. cant wait to see his solo song one day bcs ive heard that asahi been working on some bops for his members 🔥 not to mention he is very good in dancing too! Yeah,I'm maybe late, same here, as soon as I heard mashiho voice but I think they're(also me) more pissed about YG, about the way he express all, I was really good with any of them winning , like I still come here to listen this because I love it, I think that they really had a good chemistry so for me their voices together was so good for the song but again the most people is pissed because of YG (the same as every episode)

Yo creo que lo que dijo YG es totalmente estúpido. La voz de Mashiho es hermosa, pero Seunghun dio todo de si para luego terminar perdiendo la batalla y que la "devolución" de YG sea " fue demasiado". Desperdició muchisimo talento e hizo gastar 1 año a un pibe con voz de angel y talento de la puta madre. Gracias a dios que Hun pudo encontrar un grupo al que pertenecer que es maravilloso y con una gran carrera delante. STAN CIX!!
