Best episode of Take 1. Very humble , close to the heart performance without all the fancy and extravagant stuff

This was the most emotional and simple but powerful and humbling performance. So much pain in his voice. I don’t know him from USA but now a fan. His daughter should be mighty proud of him. RAIN episode was great too. He was so committed and passionate. MAMAMOO was the weakest . They spent too much time on changing costume.

I watched Take 1for Akmu. But his, Hee yeol and Rain's episodes have been my favorites...with his, its the voice and emotional backstory that got me; for Rain, its the determination, creativity and amazing performance and for Hee yeol...its the reflective nature of the episode and just its overall atmosphere. It felt like a warm hug.

Since I watched this, I have been obsessing with him for about 2 wks now, listening to his songs, watching him almost everyday here in YT. When I saw this series, I instinctively chose to watch his episode first and It turned out he was the one who sung ‘Stigma’, the OST of Slave Hunters, one of my favorite Kdramas. When I heard that song played at the end of ep 1, I was touched to the core by his soulful voice even if I didn’t understand the lyrics. As they said, his voice is unbelievably poignant. His version of Desperado blew me away. I wish him well, may he find joy again and continue to inspire more people with his music.

I feel so bad for this legend. It all started when his wife had cancer, that's when his outburst to music happened and he released plenty of hit songs but after she passed away, he just went MIA. He'll come occasionally for the sake of his fans and disappear again because of how he has this love and hate relationship with music. Nevertheless he's the rock tiger of SK.

To me this and the opera singer's are the only episodes of Take 1 to watch. All the other k-pop stars appear to be so selfish and self-centered about the performances they made. This and the other one showed how mature they were as performers and considered who to perform to and why.

I know exactly how he feels, people tells me that I have a good voice, But It is so hard to explain that when this fear takes control of you You can't breathe properly and you sing out of key, I use to tell myself ,So what if people think that you stunk just ignore them and what they think, But it's just Not that easy, When I try to record myself to put it on KZfaq, Just knowing that someone is gonna listen, The fear takes over and when I stop recording it sounds so good, And I would tell myself I wish I did record that, Put the recorder on again and it goes bad again, When I'm singing without recording I like how I sound until when I record it and listen back to myself, And it completely irritates me , I hates how I sound, breathy nasal, What can I do? I'm stuck with me.
