Yeah, especially with the AI generated voices, this was eerie. Like, I know it was just a script written by one person, (or worse, AI,) and yet it felt like three wholly separate people hosting the thing. I guess if nothing else it speaks to Ymfah's skills as a writer.

Not only have you nailed the humor, the personalities of the hosts, the editing, the pacing and scriptwriting, trained separate models for VO/shotgun mic, and tied it all into a legitimately compelling overarching narrative (up to and including the classic of everyone concluding that they in fact won the challenge and the other two are just sore, cheating losers), you've managed to perfectly capture the spirit of a Top Gear Special while still being unmistakably a ymfah video. Genuine artistry on display here, mate. Undoubtedly your best work yet. 10/10

Honestly, it’s extremely impressive that you’ve managed to replicate the feeling of Top Gear and applied it to Dark Souls. My only criticism was that there wasn’t a long argument at the start when talking about their builds and that we never saw the Stig (or one of his cousin). But honestly, this is still one of the best videos I’ve seen and I can see this as a proper Top Gear Special.

Not only was this a masterpiece, It felt genuine and true to their personalities. I felt worried about them as they get up there in age, because I know they won't be able to produce content soon, but I feel like they would be honored and put at ease to see their legacy will go on after they're gone.

This really might be your magnum opus. The AI voicework was very well done, but more than that I was extremely impressed by your ability to write dialogue that is sufficiently witty and British-sounding to be perfectly in-character for the show while *STILL* accurately explaining the events and especially the glitches used. That's not normally a restriction you have to deal with in your text-based videos, but that clearly didn't pose any issue here. This was unbelievably accurate, down to the captured personalities of the three presenters. Jeremy: Goes for the most power, but is hampered by his absolute ignorance. Despite this he achieves results by refusing to give up. Richard: Goes for the most speed, but is hampered by a lack of power. He overcomes this with his immense practicality and resourcefulness. James: Goes for slow and steady, but is hampered by his unbendable pride. He overcomes this with intellect and his amassed collection of random knowledge. Not only that but the amount of work that this required to put together from the filming, editing, working with the AI voices, and combining it all in a way that matches the spirit of the OG Top Gear series is nothing short of astonishing. May this always be a treasured video.

@@kaschey6145What if I told you the game being fun doesn't make it good? Any game can be fun. I'm sure a lot of people had fun playing Gollum. DS2 is objectively the worst made of the series. I still do find it fun, but I can at least admit it's bad.
@kaschey6145
@kaschey6145 10 ай бұрын
@@bigwinzYou really went out of your way to mix it with shit, didn't you? Gollum isn't even a game - it's a pathetic uninspired attempt to pretend to be a game due to awful development. Meanwhile, DS2 at least has soul and identity. It had unusual quirks and mechanics and neat tactics gameplay flow (unfortunate that as soon as game expects you to be tactical and strategic, most people's brains shut down and they start whining that they can't just button mush to victory or easily run past enemies like in every other part). Let alone the fact that PvP and invasions in this part are still the best and there are still players on the arena even after 11 years. In other words, every part of the franchise has its glaring issues and advantages, don't let KZfaqr parrots make you biased and rob yourself of experience you could actually enjoy (the latter one is about everything in general, not only DS franchise).

I always hate that in video games… you play as some badass adventurer capable of scaling mountains, double jumping, punching dragons… but you see a shrub and it’s a ducking immovable object and completely impassable. Or fall damage… especially in Dark Souls, I can lift a 500lb sword and fight massive monsters, block a hit that is the equivalent to getting hit by a truck at 70mph and absorb that impact with my back and legs, but I drop 20 feet and I just fucking die? Hahaha Regular parkour athletes jump off of buildings all the time! I’ve personally done a drop with a roll from a 2 story roof just fine but a dragon slaying beast just falls over dead. Okay. I understand the games need boundaries, but do something more creative.. add poison fog, magic plants with paralyzing toxin, or something more creative than “You’re too weak to push through a shrub with your massive magic sword and full plate armor.” or “You dropped down this little ledge and we’re startled to death a roach in the grass below.” As much as I love the new GoW games I get annoyed when I’m spending 20 mins on a puzzle and I’m like… “Kratos could literally just casually hop up to that second floor.. he could bitchslap that crumbly old wall down and just go straight through here… why am I climbing this zigzag? I could just toss the boy up there easily and have him kick that chain down.” But the game is so fun and I enjoy the dialogue so I don’t mind going slow so I can listen to them talk… that’s my one exception!
