Watching a man practically burst into tears while another man gently plays trumpet at him is a beautifully surreal moment, and I appreciate the internet for immortalizing it for us
@Thebdippy

This dude was on a podcast a while back, he basically explained that the guy with the trumpet was a constant issue in the neighborhood and he just reached the end of his rope. Obviously he was overreacting and ended up being a bit of a nut in his own right (shocking, I know) but knowing that this is a culmination of tension between two people with an established relationship and not just someone screaming at a stranger does put it in a different context.

I remember Opie and Anthony were covering, probably way before the podcast interview and it was interesting hearing Jimmy and Ant psychoanalyze the character and I think they came to the same conclusion you stated the man gave. They said he's most likely telling the truth about most of his boasts given the location, and was probably an ongoing issue that someone filmed the climax of. BUT also concluded, he was acting kind of like aDouche and was more in the wrong than the trumpet guy, while echoing the things his father would berate him with; "You'll never amount to anything". There's a definite personal attachment to the way he delivers those insults.

Guy was playing on near a holocaust museum too. Although he admitted it wasn't about that. Guy is weird tho, has his own pretentious talent agency where he takes low rez bad photos of trees, apparently bob Dylan mentioned him too about a gremlin man in a tophat that made him unable to perform because he kept laughing at him. But that might be fake

To be fair a little practice does take a mile. The Trumpeter treats his trombone(?) like shit-the brass suffers in tune with some notes sounding dirty and dysfunctional like the Alley Way he is in. As an outsider looking into the world of Brass playing, he shouldn’t probably play his notes too rough and take sometime to breathe. Overall, it’s scary how where you play an instrument can say much about you. The other guy projects that pessimism to a tee and lack of confidence the trumpeter must feel and does everything in his power to be good enough. But the duality here is he’s wearing black, so, he has the Devil on his side so he shouldn’t be trying so hard trying be the next Charlie Parker or something. At least that’s what the context suggests-and we’ve all be played, haven’t we? 🥸

This guy straight up had a mental breakdown. Seems to me he's projecting and is upset that his career isn't where he thought it would take him. It's also worth noting that apparently the trumpet player had been playing there for quite a while (like on and off for weeks) and people were slightly annoyed, and this guy finally snapped and couldn't take it anymore and had a total breakdown. There was an existing negative relationship between the two prior to this incident, which adds a lot of context.
