I love how the "ai" in the japanese version is the "ai" in "aishiteru", like love, but here you have "ai" like "I" as a pronoun and "Ai" as the name. It fits perfectly and its so epic damn

The whole translation is very well done, a lot of the lyrics were made to be phonetically similar and rhyme exactly like the original.

Honestly, I don't really like this cover. Firstly: the cover text does not sound in harmony with the rhythm and melody of the song. Secondly: vocals are not very pleasant to listen to, a lot of autotune. Thirdly: there are times when the rhyme does not sound very pleasant, or rather it does not exist at all, they just stretch the last word. For example, "what book do you love" can be replaced with "what is your favorite book", this will be more in line with the rhyme. You can hate me, but I have expressed my opinion.

You know this isn’t a cover, right? A cover is a song sung by someone else that isn’t the original artist. This is actually Ikura from Yoasobi singing English herself (she can sing in English pretty well actually). This also not the first time she’s done an English version of her own group’s songs. The words are more to sound similar to the original Japanese while also trying to preserve the meaning of each individual line. And any “auto tune” is the same she uses in the Japanese version. You can have an opinion, but at least don’t misrepresent the song for what it isn’t and what it’s supposed to be.
