They take this song to a place it has never been before. And the sustain on that final note.....nice. That is the longest sustain found on any of their recordings. Of course, without your own band you are extremely limited in making changes to a song because you are stuck in the timing and key locked into the backing track. That is a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE obstacle to any group trying to take a song to a new level. The exception is the final note. You can hold it as long as you like after the backing track disappears....and that may be what 4th Impact did here (though we may never know because it is impossible to hear the backing track over their voices at that point---and praise the saints for that!!!). Wish they would do that more. Really long sustains is one feature that is conspicuously missing from 4th Impact's bag of tricks. Or, rather, as you just heard....they can do it.... but it would be great if they would do it more, more, more!!!!! And how about those growls? All four members can growl quite well but Mylene takes it way past that. She could growl through the entire song if she chose to..... that is just how effortless and automatic her growl is. (Indeed, there was a time when she growled so often that it detracted from the overall performance....but they continue to tweak their formula and have found a really sweet pocket that their style(s) fit right into now). Of course, way above and beyond all of that is their connection to their audience. Somehow these ladies just grab your attention, heart, and soul and mesmerize you. It is magical and intangible. And for that reason, it is impossible to quantify or explain. 4th Impact has so many X-Factors......peerless and fearless...... yep, peerless and fearless!!! You Go, Girls!!!!! 😃😃😃😃

Dude i love your 4th Impact reactions...a couple thing...i had just come from another reactor listening to their version of Bridge Over Troubled Water and she said exactly the same as you...this is what heaven sounds like...second...that first 4 part harmony on this song...sublime...it was almost like a cry...and just set the tone for the whole chorus where indeed as you pointed out they flipped from solo voices to the harmonies taking centre stage and the runs filling behind...as someone here has already commented when you said ENOUGH...that has to be your next reaction to them..Never Enough...keep up the great work!!

Howdy brother, how are things? So this video is just the girls doing what the girls do best, making a great song even better, it is one of the videos that show the intensity of their passion for music. The facial expressions they use in this video is indicative of that passion, (Not like any of their other videos ever show this 😂) It doesn't matter whose version they are singing, whether it's R.Kelly's or Yalanda Adams version, they do the 4th Impact version and it's always incredible. This is why the following that they have is as true blue as it gets, we believe in them so much we will follow them blindly and cheer them on from wherever we may be, whether it's sitting in the audience, or 8,000 miles away sitting in a rocking chair. We love them that much and it's not just the music that we love about them, these ladies are exactly whatwe want our children to be when they grow up, keeping with their faith, humble to a fault, lovely to everyone they greet, never have anything bad to say about anybody. I have said this before and I'll continue to say it, 'These ladies are a true reflection of their parents.' They were brought up with all the right values. If for nothing more than just this, they should be loved by all who know them. Thank you once again my brother, great reacton to our angels. You know, it's funny. I was just watching another reactor doing Bridge Over Troubled water and she said almost the exact thing you said, "This is what it must be like when the Gates of Heaven open". Awesome reaction Sowdev. The voices and emotions of this song are top shelf, but let’s talk about the arrangement. The placement and construction of the harmonies. That is the brain child of Mylene, AKA “ The Boss”. She was on the far right and first to sing. Here tone is the most soulful of the 4 and has the most range. Many reactors that are vocal coaches and professional arrangers have complimented her on her arrangement skills. Considering she doesn’t even read music, it is truly a God given gift. They are so in tune with each other they can put a song together in a couple hours. Keep up the good work my friend. I’ll leave you a request in your bio.

As one other reactor said....This is the way the song should be sung. We didn't need one soloist...we had 4. We didn't need a choir...we had the sisters providing the chorus. I have just one issue with 4th Impact ....I never know if I should be paying attention to the lead vocals or the harmony. Thats why with any song by these ladies , I have to listen to it 2 or 3 times to take it all in .
