I actually think the way you put on the shoulders looks better than how they're supposed to go. All the panel details are on the back and the front looks pretty plain. Show off those panel details, I say!

I think the pistol isn't his alt mode. it's the pistol he uses in the movie to shoot Prime in the stomach.

Yea, if it was his alt mode then it would have silver, so weird how he mistook it for the alt mode. And it's not even shaped like the Walther P-38.

If Yolopark is now doing G1 characters, without having to worry about transformation hindering any articulation... Imagine if they could do a Unicron! Obviously, it wouldn't be do scale, but imagine that thing, without all the planet mode kibble & bulk that the Haslab suffers from, but still being able to stand toe-to-toe with it... Maaaaan!! With the light-up eyes, and incredible articulation... To help cover costs, they could even make it a convention or retailer exclusive to preorders!! I would LOVE to have something like that in my collection!!

Some countries have strict rules on which batteries are allowed. Maybe the reason is to facilitate them entering some markets. As always, thanks for the review.

The energon sword is from the 86 movie which Megatron uses to slice open Optimus Prime and the gun is also from the movie he used to kill Optimus Prime and the beaten up chest plate is when Optimus uppercuts Megatron after getting fatally injured. I own several yolopark figures Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Optimus Primal. Scourge is on the way I ordered him yesterday off the Yolopark website. Definitely going to be getting this g1 Megatron and of course Optimus Prime

Looking at the box art, the next best version would be one painted to look like the cartoon like how they did with TMNT figures. Even this megatron painted in that style would look amazing.

Great review and thanks for putting me on to this line! I have the Megatron MDLX that I haven’t opened yet and preordered Starscream but I don’t know about the aesthetics on Starscreen MDLX with the black outlines on the figure. I might have to cancel it and rock with this line instead. Hopefully they’ll go full throttle with the G1 line 🙌🙌🙌

That isn't Megatron's alt mode. That is the laser pistol Megatron used to blast Options Prime with in the 1986 the transformers the movie.

Great video as always but there is just something off to me about this kit, not sure if it’s the limb proportions or the fact that his head looks to small I just don’t see the appeal of this kit other than for g1 fans who want a Megatron that fits the crazy lot of the Sunbo scale chart

It's a very cool figure, it's just kind of a shame it only scales well with other Yolopark figures considering we're not likely to ever get an expansive line of G1 figures from them. If this scaled with either the MP line or even the mainline it would have been an instant purchase. As it is, it doesn't really fit anywhere in my collection.

The reason 3rd Parties don't make figures in scales like CHUG or MP is so they don't compete with Hasbro's own products.

@@_V.Va_ This isn't a third party though. It's a 2nd party release, carrying an official Hasbro/Takara license. Hasbro/Takara makes money off this. And Hasbro's overall strategy doesn't seem at all worried about cannibalizing sales through alternate versions of the same character - they released three different iterations of a CHUG G1 Galvatron within the span of a single year during Kingdom. Those are far more likely to cannibalize Hasbro products than a non-transforming model kit. Especially one released during a year that had very few other mainline G1 releases, and no G1 style Megatron or Galvatron first party release of any kind. And many 3rd parties do make products that scale with MP (and a few make CHUG scaled figures as well). In fact MP is the main scale of most 3P companies.
