Malaysian pair yang ini emang super friendly bangett. Even disaat genting mereka ga nunjukin raut muka gak ngenakin. Sukaa sama pair ini dari semua pair malaysia. Berharap mereka bisa menangin turnamen2 bergengsi lainnya. Udah hebat bisa sampe Final OlympicRio 2016 sama AllEngland. peace from Indonesia.

VERY VERY disappointed with the umpire. Please BWF review your umpires especially a premier event like this one. It is the biasness and her attitude that irks me. IT is CLEAR she has something against Chan.

Good lord, this match is so underrated in my opinion and "THE" Goh liu ying in this match and a couple of other matches is the best female XD player I've ever seen. I know she hasn't got the same results as ZYL, natsir or Ma jin, but damn she is entertaining, never afraid to step forward in defense or challenge men in the flat game. In any match she plays no matter win or lose there are always moments where you are like wow this girl is amazing. she is so unique compared to other conventional XD players, so sad that her injury issues keep her away from the game.

Dear BWF, Please send your best umpire to officiate a Superseries Premier tournament, not like this type of umpire. Her decision making is questionable. She does not have the quality and not yet ready to officiate a Superseries Premier tournament. Please don't let a bad umpire ruin a good badminton match.

the umpire and service judge did not just make two bad calls, they made them at critical points that cost the game for the Malaysians, especially the umpire's. And what's up with umpire's attitude?

I like both pairs, but was rooting for MAS to win... they deserve to win their first SS/SSP.. How come they never win it even just once? Too bad Goh gets injury one after another.. This girl is a good player. Chan still needs to overcome his bad service for a thousand years. This pair just need more luck 😢 They're good tbh

1:37:04 Umpire failed to catch the wrong position at 9-12 in game 3. Goh was on their right side (viewer's left side) at 8-12 when Chinese team served. 1:38:40 Goh served on their right side at 10-12. That's why she was surprised when Umpire asked her to stand on the left side at 10-13.

Super disappointed in this umpire. Absolutely biased towards the China players. Net call was terrible, Chan P.S didnt even get a chance to argue his stance out(HE WAS RESPECTFUL). Throwing the shuttlecock over to the China side when Chan P.S asked for a change in shuttlecock was super unprofessional and rude; anyone doing that shouldn't be allowed to even referee a game. Secondly, the Malaysian side did not hear the 20 second warning, and wanted to hold their stance. Really a yellow card??!! Chan P.S was respectful towards the umpire and even said "I'm sorry" at the end. Ultimately, both sides were strong but the umpire decided to place her values onto the China side more. Chan P.S was definitely the "target" of the umpire. The umpire was just picking on Chan P.S for little to no reason. BWF, this is a serious issue and should be reviewed. ============ To all you players saying that the yellow card literally "ended" the game for Malaysia, that is ultimately false. Players playing at that level of competitive badminton must know how to handle pressure and stress. Although the yellow card and constant "picking" on the Malaysian side hurt their morale and their play, again, professionals must know how to handle the situation. In my opinion, the Malaysian side handled it well, but were unable to comeback from the umpire's missed calls and lost the mental game. ============= Final thoughts: Umpire was biased towards the players from China and was obviously just picking on Malaysia(More so to Chan P.S. Unprofessional umpires can ruin a game, as they call unfairly and do not allow others to right them.

44:45 is ridiculous 1:12:51 is even more ridiculous! wth? 1:35:09 China's coaches could be arguably doing the same thing, but it definitely was super harsh... And especially mentally damaging

Agree on your first two points. However, on the third point, unless you have a friend watching live over there, according to this video, we don't know for sure that the china team was doing the same thing at this point in time. Under the laws of badminton it is quite clear, Rule 16.2.1, not exceeding 60 seconds during each game when the leading score reaches 11 points; (For a televised match, the Referee may decide before the match that intervals as in Law 16.2 are mandatory and of fixed duration). Yellow carding Chan P.S alone does seem like making him a target. Referee should have just yellow carded the pairs.

For this case, the umpire is correct because when 9-12 and 10-12 suppose be Chan Peng Soon serve instead of Goh Liu Ying, so when 10-13 Goh Liu Ying should stand at the left hand side.

1:35:57 the umpire shouldn't punish malaysia pair with the yellow card warning because both side players are tired due to a very long period of match. Thus, the empire suppose to allow them to extend the interval time.

@@udaygadge6064 well, my opinion is either zhao yunlei or liliyana natsir. It's common sense to choose either of the two of them. Goh liu ying is a fantastic player no doubt about that. But she isn't reach natsir/yunlei level yet.

come on guys, the empire's decision did have some kind of impact, but it is not what the caster said. they are professional players, they know how to forget. look at Lin Dan, empire fault him, he just keep on winning the game. if a player can't even handle a misscall then that player is bad.

No. A player's ability to overcome a bad call is indeed a tremendous asset, and a common trait of veteran champions. But its absence is not a sign of a bad player. That said, Chan is clearly not Lin Dan (who btw does throw a (justified) fit at bad calls) and it shows in his persisting inability to serve well. So you have a player struggling with his own nerves, and you throw at him what he must surely see as an antagonistic umpire (who arguably made two bad calls) and the outcome of the game is severely impacted.

Joshik Chil I still don't think how it effect the outcome of the match. I can't deny that the attitude of the judge is bad. but still, it shouldn't effect you as a player, I don't see how the Malaysian suddenly play bad. if somehow you are effected, you deserve to lose.

ahseng again, at that level, I don't think they rely on flick serve to win. if the umpire is bad at calling flick serve, then just don't do it. your opponent will be effected too. so even if the umpire is bad, it should still be fair as long as they are in biased

Chinese pair won 20 19 in the second game. If that fault wasn’t called, which it shouldn’t have been it would be 19 all

@@kevinguo3127that’s the thing. The service judge shouldn’t be this bad. This is a professional tournament. The serve was clearly below his waist. It was obvious call which the service judge got it wrong.
