What she really nails is the pronounciation. I honestly think what makes her so good at speaking other languages is that she has a really good intuitive sense of linguistics and pronounciation so that while she may not get all the words and grammar, she still ends up sounding like a native. You can hear it when she sings in malay and italian in one of the reality shows, there's a lot of commentors that are really impressed. I honestly think it's super cool!

Honestly as far as English fluency for SELF STUDIED idols, she is among the best, if not the best. With Dami not far behind. RM is the only other person that comes to mind that purely learned by themselves.

Self learned and I assume she's not around many English speakers except for fans on vlive, so that's another layer of how impressive it is. Especially because at moments she sounds native, very little accent, she almost sounds American on occasion.

Yoohyeon's enunciation is really impressive, and her intonation resembles that of a native speaker, something I personally find to be a challenging aspect of learning a language. Her way of speaking English, especially from last year, feels like she thinks in English instead of thinking in korean and translating in her head, as the former usually allows for smoother speaking
