Why do people even immigrate if they are going to keep their exact same traditions they had in their original countries?

I suppose Western societies are worried that the fast spread of an ideology could eventually overwhelm its host society -- as we have seen to a surprisingly large degree this year in America with the woke ideology (its immediate effects are yet to be concluded). And unfettered immigration makes that prospect only likelier with each passing year. I recall being in London in the summer of 1999 and witnessing Chilean exiles or refugees or mere Chilean-Brits demonstrating against Pinochet, the former dictator of Chile who was, in the late 1990s, allowed to enter Britain. These Chileans I spotted had hired an open-top double-decker bus (of the kind victorious sports teams hire when paying tribute to their fans) to shout out their cause as it drove round the crowded shopping streets of central London. But how they made their presence felt was the fact that among them were a bunch of musicians, an ad hoc brass band and what not, as trumpets, castanets and drums blared, shook and struck out. What a racket! Moreover, the young men and women packed onto the top deck were all dancing together, laughing --- almost in joy at their great freedom to do so. There were others packed onto the bus holding banners to highlight their cause, and banners slung down the side of the bus. But their method was purely for publicity purposes. It was a style of protest that you would just not see in the world of Islam. What is worrying is that with all the woke protestors and rioters in America, not once did I see anyone hoisting a guitar to the protests. Now you did see that in the 1960s. The Communists of China's cultural revolution in the 1960s smashed up pianos. Now guitars are seen as too bourgeois in America. And thirty million people in China are today learning to play the piano. Grim times indeed. The West needs to import more trumpet-playing South Americans. Fast. Are there thirty million of them?

Social contracts are a great concept if the country has a strong society. America is unfortunately a market of ideas in a market society without a strong grounding in common societal values. The only value in America it seems, is saying "yes" to those who you can profit from. If there are enough Muslim voters who vote as a block (much like the NRA does), it is then quite easy to concentrate an electorate to vote for a politician who says "yes" to the people who she/he can profit from.
