Rob takes the train from Manchester to the city of York. We walk around the cobbled streets looking at the architecture then make our way into watch shops. We get to see brand new Watches & Wonders novelties. Hands-on include the brand new Omega Black Lacquer Dial Aqua Terra, the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Automatique, Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope Paris Olympics 2024, Bulgari Octo Roma Watches of Switzerland Limited Edition, Patek Philippe 5370P Grand Complications, Patek Philippe 5270J Grand Complications, Patek Philippe 5924G Complications and the Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5168G, and some interesting vintage watches at Antiques Centre York. Big props to the fine folks at Barry's Jewellers for being so generous and welcoming. If you're in York, definitely go by, and tell them, "Rob the American" sent you!
We also have a look at York Minster Cathedral and enjoy a tasty lunch takeaway from Drake's Fish & Chips. All in all, a productive watch prowling and a great day out!

It's great to see Berrys Patek allowing people into their store. TBH wouldn't expect anything less as Berrys are great across the board on customer service. Unfortunately, you would never walk out even with a basic Patek as a walk-in. York top City, g8 content as ever 😊

No is the answer, all those watches belong to people who have paid for them. They can't have them until they get another one in to replace it. I know someone who bought a nautilus but had to wait 5 months and had to walk past and see it in the window.

That's a tough question to answer. I guess it depends on what style of watch you're wanting - dress, sport, chronograph etc. In that price bracket, Omega, Tudor, Grand Seiko, all have terrific watches in that price range. Pick what you like! Trying them on in person first is most important for me personally.

@@RobtheAmerican yes I know it was a silly question really just looking for a bit of guidance I’m currently on holiday with good tax brakes.it’s funny how when you try on watches out of my price range it’s easy to dream spend but when it’s your hard earned cash you /i suddenly can’t make my mind up

Find something you love in your price range and keep dreaming about the grail watches. That's what I do! Most watch dealers will welcome you even if you can't afford their watches if you are friendly, respectful, and like to talk watches!

@@RobtheAmerican yes I’m slowly narrowing it down I’m looking for easy comfortable all rounder I’m not a dress watch person the grand seiko are good bang for buck , omega aqua terra nearly jumped for a world timer,also Tudor gmt or the new black bay the gold bezel but it’s 39 mm
