My yorkie looks just like this one. Jack is 9 years old. My son found him wandering around in the woods. We live in the country. We have had Jack about 7 years. We just love him so much. I think we have made him spoiled, just a little, When we fist got him he was skin and bones. My husband told Jack that he would never be hungry again. So he is 10 pounds now. God is so good to us. We had never had a “house” dog before jack. He sleeps with us.

This past summer I lost my baby Bear to some type of bloating problem. He was going on 7. It devastated me. Seeing this makes me smile and laugh (mine acted the same way and he would race around the whole house panting when you chased him). Thanks for the cute video, I really loved it! :)

Yorkies have a lot of spunk. I had 4 of them. Poncho, Francesca, Porky and Sam. Poncho was the fiesty one. Grown men would come to my house and want to know where's Poncho because he would intimidate them. They do not know they are small.❤

Poms are the same way, lol. I have a grown male he weighs about 3 or 4 lbs, when I first got him he was about 6 months old. He bit every date I had, my sister, and my best friend, lol. They can't hurt you more like a pinch but I had to break him. I asked everyone to pet him, and he was fine then, don't know if he was jealous or afraid for me. He loves the bark, good watch dog, you have plenty of time to get protection.

We have a 2 ½ lb yorkie named Speck that thinks she is tough. It’s hard to sleep at night when she sees nothing in the bed but blanket monsters that must be dispatched by her. I think my toes have been pounced on and bit a million times.

Well, I have a Yorkie and she's not the biter-type. But in the past she has "nipped" at me a couple times if she was too excited. Never bled from it though. Yorkies' jaws aren't like a big dogs. They're honestly more bark than bite. And trust me, they will bark. A Lot. ;)

Mine thinks she's tough too. She also thinks she's a guard dog. Whenever people like the UPS man or whatever come by, they call her Killer. Haha. We tell her she's oh so menacing when she growls at her toys...

Very sweet! We have a 10 year old Yorki/Maltese cross. We adore her feisty personality. We are always wondering if we are seeing the Yorki or the Maltese in her. She looks like both breeds but has the coloring of a Yorki. We really love her.

That's an interesting comment. The U.S. is by far one of the most generous countries when it comes to foreign aid. The U.S. has assisted less fortunate countries in every way. When peace keeping missions have been requested, the U.S. has also been the biggest supplier of equipment and troops. So I'm not sure where you get this idea that the U.S. only helps itself.

Our little boy (yorkie) used to play with me like this, he would do the same with with our cat. He wanted you to chase him so he could chase you back....but I never back down so he'd get all riled up and we'd end up playing tug of war with one of his toys. With the cat, she played right into his game and would arch her back and poof at him accepting the challenge....then he'd take after her back into our bedroom and get her cornered and bite her on the butt/tail. He'd sometimes come back with a tuft of her fur in his mouth, haha. Then she'd come out from the bedroom all puffed up and the chase would resume until she'd had enough and would get up on a high spot out of his reach, haha.

Outstanding, I have no qualms with being passionate about what you believe. However, if I do not share your passion for it, I rather not be preached to about it. Plenty of people in the U.S. agree with you, and others do not. Some states have made it illegal to dock tails, and some have not. That's the beauty of a free society, if the people in one state are digusted with the, they can create laws to change it. Good luck to you in your cause.

really cute, but if you encourage a yorkie pup to be noisy, be prepared to live with it. I am sure you learned this by now if you still have her. I know... the barking is cute as heck, but they can be LOUD :) They are all terrier and will assume they are large and in charge.

The long tail has nothing to with whether or not it is a purebred Yorkie. The breed standard is a clip tail, and it is necessary if you want to have to have your Yorkie participate in shows, but they are not born with a clip tail. Just as they are not born with erect ears. They are born with floppy ears, and some have their ears clipped to ensure they have the erect ears. If the ears are not clipped, then in most cases the ears will come up withing 6 months, but some retain floppy ears.

A Yorkie with an undocked tail looks far better - and seeing as how they're from Yorkshire and it's illegal to dock tails in the UK (or all of Europe for that matter), that's what most of them look like. It is cruel - not only because of the pain but also because dogs need their tails for communicating with other dogs. As for your point about circumcision - plenty of people complain, but there's not much that can be done about it by then.

I use know-it-all as a term to name people that feel that their way is the right way, and opposing arguments must obviously be wrong.

Yeah I know about female circumcision, and it's a completely different thing than male. Male is no big deal. And there has been NO "uproar" in the US media, or any concern at all. In fact circumcised is what we prefer over here. If someone can't do a procedure correctly that's on them. It's been done for thousands of years successfully, it's not stopping now because of a couple babies having complications.

I have been reading some of your comments, and your only intention seems to tell everyone else what "right" is based on what you think is right. My dogs are happy, well taken care of, well sociolized, have many doggy playmantes, and in great health. FYI, that's how they were when I adopted them, I didn't get them that way because of a preference.

Several babies have died from blood loss, and by your argument - we can do whatever the hell we want to babies, because, Hell, it's not like they'll remember it.
