In this Video me and Mike take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge,
Pen-y-Ghent 694m, Whernside 736m and Ingleborough 723m.
We started the hike in Horton-in-Ribblesdale in the Yorkshire Dales,
the first on the three peaks was Pen-y-Ghent this was a tough climb with 2 short scrambles to get us warmed up.
The next was Whernside the long slog between was long and grueling plus the rain didn't help,
beautiful views when the weather cleared the highlight of this section was the Ribblehead Viaduct it really was magnificent.
After a long winding and steep path in some sections we made it to the trig point on Whernside and we got some views from the top.
The next and thank goodness last mountain was Ingleborough, the climb down Whernside was tough, it was steep and slippy
great care was needed getting down. We eventually reached a small refreshment stop where we chilled out for 15 mins to rest the legs,
then came the long and seriously steep climb up Ingleborough the legs were seriously hurting at this point but we made it.
The walk back to Horton-in-Ribblesdale was the longest path I have ever known it never ended I think my feet are still there.
All in all a fantastic walk and a great achievement, now time to recover.
