Well you cant get a more honest review, on the adverts they make it sound easy, but you went out, bought a bike, fitted in the back garden and hey it actually works. Great for popping out to the shops etc.

Brilliant Chris transits have fuel issues with pipes that come from the tank to the fuel pump and filter .Now you are getting a mention in welderfabber episode 006 about 11.40 secs woop woop

A bit of advice drop the fuel tank and check the plastic fuel feed pipe, they do get perished I know that from experience. Good luck buddy.

Bloody brilliant vlog as always Chris!! Thank you so much buddy 👌 I remember those old LDV vans. Royal Mail used to run those back in the day. When I started my apprenticeship as a HGV Mechanic we had one as a breakdown van. Good old bus, not as good as the struggle bus though of course!! 😜 I’m a HGV Driver now, but still love tinkering on my 2009 car. Wouldn’t want anything brand new though, too many sensors & electrical components!! 😩🙈 Love the bike conversation mate!! You’re a bloody good man & an amazing Dad!! All the best to you all buddy. Old bikes used to have hub dynamos i am going back as far as 50 yrs ago but they were for the lights on the bike

Hey Chris next time you go to Well-Next-The-Sea you should take the family to Holkham Hall, it's only a few minutes away, it's lovely round there. They have a massive play area and climbing frame outside, tea room and food, a herd of deer 🦌and they use to have a history of farming bit/section, which was quite interesting.

Transits cut the starter with the p.a.t.s immobiliser, they have chipped keys and a small red led that flashes fast if it’s not happy

Brilliant epsd buddy that ldv will have injection pump problem had it loads even though it injecting it won't go also check elbows on top of the tank they fail and don't try to tow start it cos they jump the timing chain bet you send pump of it will start don't know why ❤

Hey Chris, i would recommend you to buy torque arm for your new ebike. No one told me to buy, after 500km something very bad happened, thank god i didn't injured myself. That front wheel forks might not be as strong as you think.

Your Archie looked smart in his uniform, proper studious. Don't think the immobiliser on the LDV are that complicated. I once lost the keys to one at LeMans, and managed to get it going just hot wiring it. Do remember having to power up the heater plugs when first starting from cold.

Had this problem. Immobiliser is is prone to water damage from windscreen . Exact same as this. You can get fuel to injectors but not enough pressure to fire up. Ended up Retro fitting a banana engine,box ect from rotten doner van.

Happy days Birdie first word on the channel ? and she looks as if she knows how to handle that screwdriver LDV. good shout on the immobiliser key barrel , when I worked for the coooooncil king pins / thrusts wheel bearings brake pipes and trying to get rear brakes If it wasn't a fuse we called out the sparky. I remember we went through a spate of exhaust silencers exploding apart due to back fires Don't miss the bore of the LDV engineers on call van as I left the house ... nor do my neighbours Pug power !! pilots where awful things Convoys where much better with ford power

Can't beat a LDV CONVOY van, had mine 7 years now and I wouldn't sell it for any amount of money. The immobiliser light should flash until you put the key in the ignition and turn it on, the light should stop flashing and should go off when cranking and stay off when it starts.

Be careful with the batteries on the e-bike.. don't leave it charging unattended, there have been a lot of fires with e-bike kits as they are not regulated like dedicated e-bikes and there's been loads of cases of cheap/bad batteries and mismatched chargers, etc.
