Young kids? I hope you're not referring to me! I played old school bomberman on the SNES and i'm bummed out because they won't release anymore like the original, probably because of recent terror attacks also im 23, 24 in a month! the best game i've ever played in my life was probably The Legend of Zelda; a Link to the past. and Yoshi's story was damned amazing, I beat it countless times on its native console.

Though the song already brings chills down my back, the music box at 3:37 always tends to get me the most. Not only does it make me remember the game I played for so many years and how much I liked and still like it, (I still have the game) it also makes me think about my two kids that passed away in 2010. My kids, especially my daughter was a huge fan of Yoshi, she always thought it was cute, so this song kinda has a close meaning to me. I'm glad this song is still on KZfaq just in case my N64 quits from old age. (I have it for like 22 years, I'm 28 now) so I can always listen to this and remember the old times of me playing this game, but also my 2 kids who were a fan of Yoshi.

this song reminds me of older times. back when my dog was alive (she had to be put down in June 2021 because of her lung cancer. she could barely eat a small piece of an expensive steak we bought as her last meal. it's painful to have your own dog die, but it's even more painful to watch your dog be put down.) and also when i watched my brother playing this game on the wii virtual console. i watched my brother from 2010 (or maybe before that, i don't remember anything before mid-2010. my first memories that i still have is when i was 3, close to my 4th birthday) to 2012. i was happy, and that's all i really had to do back then. today, when i listened to this those memories came back. instantly brought me to tears. i miss these older (and simpler) times. wish that i could both re-experience this and see my dog again. whoever composed the soundtrack, they composed it very well. thank you for reading this, and sorry if this got dark instantly.

Why do I always start crying when I listen to this!!!?
@fleentstones1175 жыл бұрын
There's a psychological reason we cry at songs like this. Whenever you're used to hearing a song in a happy and peppy setting (the Yoshis singing) you get used to that feeling of happiness, relief, triumph. When the song is turned softer and is played with a sad, sorrowful instrument, played slowly, or with some minor chords thrown in before the major chord resolution, it ellicits an emotional response by taking those happy associations and melting them into sadness. When we feel that something we've emotionally connected with is turning mellow, we turn mellow with it. It's the same reason that the theme from Up and Boo's theme from Monster's Inc hits SO hard. They turn the happy song into a melancholy piano piece, and FUCK, it destroys. I cry every. Single. Time. That I listen to this song.

I've never even played this game and have no emotional connection to this but I'm still sitting here about to cry. I think it reminds me of my youth and how innocent everything was... damn...

When I was a kid, I would beat this game and watch the credits all the way to the end just because the music was so pleasant, and so beautiful. :)

@@onewhitedude sorry i meant both of you, that game is actually very depressing because you have the chance to save all the yoshi's but you still beat the game but the ending is pretty depressing because your missing the whole team of yoshis you started with so in the end its very lonely because it shows how many you saved then you resent not saving them thus starting a new.game

You can. I bought it and a Nintendo 64 from a site called JJ's Games for a reasonable price. Both the system and game were in great condition when I received them. My daughters and son love to watch me play it.

I've heard this music when I was a child and OOOOH MAAAAAN, this is SOOOO nostalgic! This reminds me of me and my brother watching the "50 Ways To Kill Yoshi" video and, after that playing some flash games. It's just good to hear this again because it remembers so many memories of my childhood and even with the not so good financial conditions of my parents, what makes my think which so many good memories will have to come. I just want to say you that even if you have problems, you can enjoy your life and then you can pass the obstacles and get resilient of these situations, making your life better at one step at a time and being good for the others, and then you will see that your life really worth all the efforts you've done. Have a great life!
