His questions are leading, he’s stating that she’s discussed previously her Twitter contains essentially “personal capacity” opinions, such as about her dog, sports teams etc (but this doesn’t have to be an exhaustive list). The senator is making the assumption that a post about mask wearing is partisan and politically motivated. It’s perfectly possible that she has posted that in a personal capacity, and that it’s her honestly held scientific opinion, not a political statement. That is why she would never be charged with lying under oath, perjury etc. because it hasn’t been shown to be the case.

And they are all throughout the government. People lying to get ahead and then just stonewalling and gaslighting when someone calls them out. 10 years from now all of our government should be as professional as Hawley.
