I closed my eyes thinking I'd die, pierced by many swords, but after a few seconds I realized something was off. When I was about to open my eyes, I heard a gentle and sad voice telling me to keep my eyes closed. Unfortunately I didn't listen to what the man said. As I opened my eyes I heard a cough and received blood on my face. Terrified I quickly opened my eyes, but the worst scene ever was right infront of me. The man I loved the most, the one person I would trade my life for. He was dying right there, I couldn't do anything. I don't quite remember what he said, but all I know is that, his last words, they were like a sword cutting right through my heart. He knew I wasn't ready to let him go, but still left me after a few seconds. I knew he was gonna die one day, I knew he would leave one day. What I didn't know is that he would leave like this. I loved him, I cherished him, I wanted him to live... I wanted to live with him. I remember what he said now. That's right my mind never wanted me to remember because of the pain it would cause me. But why now after all these years. Is it because I'm finally telling this, no, my story ? Well, it's not like it matters now, right ? You still want to know what he said ?! Okay then, here it is... "Don't be sad, it's not like my life wasn't happy right ? I only have one regret. I couldn't keep your smile intact. I'm sorry. I know I'm leaving you alone, but don't cry, I'll always be with you. So smile one last time for me...okay ?" This is what comes to my mind when I see this image and when I hear this music. Sorry if there's some errors I'm french so it's not perfect. 😅

I closed my eyes. I knew that in this moment I was entirely defenseless. All the blood I had seen, all the rain that mixed into the soldiers open wounds; It was all I knew in my last moments of life. I began to breathe quicker, awaiting the moment that I am struck down and the battle is lost. My heart sounded like the canons that were firing overhead. My cold and numb body began to go limp under the fear, under the exhaustion, under the weakening war. And then I heard it: The call of a man from far away. I had no idea where, how far, or who it was that yelled my name in echoes across the battle field. When I opened my eyes he was running toward me: The voice of my past, my present and my future. The voice I had fallen asleep to in nights of peace and love. That voice which gave me guidance and consoled me when I was troubled. The voice I heard was deep and rich like the dark soil of an ancient forest. He was my ancient forest. I had planted my roots with him and he was all that I knew there to be for life. This voice that ran toward me was my own life within another. When I could really see him, he was being followed by four men. They held red tipped swords above their heads and screamed at my love. "Coward," they called him. Before I had time to react he had reached me and grabbed my hands to hold me and pull me away. "Run! Run!" He yelled at me. "Run! Run!" And in my hesitation and weakness, we both heard the whipping of blades through the wind. Looking behind him were the four men, almost directly behind us without their swords. Looking down, underneath the lightning and rain were three swords pointed through my love and barely grazing me. His arms fell to both sides of my head, against the stone I leaned on. He moaned in pain and his breathing turned to gasping. I stood there, letting the pain and the sadness cloud me. I wanted to scream. I wanted to cry. I wanted to grab him and hold him. But I could do none of that. I could not even be sure that I myself was still alive. All I knew then was that the pounding of the rain became harder and the air inside my lungs became colder. I looked at him. He looked at me. "You are my life after death." So be it.

Jordan sent me a collection of his soundtrack to Age Of Fear 3. When I saw this image while hearing his music it was clear for me to put it together. It was like the scene spoke with the music. The warrior protected her to the final and saying the last words: "You are our only hope now", before dying of the wounds.

It was almost as if time had slowed. The sounds of war diminished as the young woman gazed tearfully at her saviour-a complete and utter stranger. Her voice came out muffled behind her hand, asking only a question, "why?" The man grunted, the swords impaled into his body distracting him before he spoke, "I...regret what I have done with the power I was given," He grimaced and his body was wracked with wet coughs, "I am, but a vessel for the gods power and I have perverted such an honor." She gasped, her thoughts flying rapidly at the information he gave her. This man was a container, one of the many who were rumored to be guarding the king and who wield amazing magical power. "I wish to give you this unlimited strength. I have done many unspeakable acts in the name of it and I think my time has come," the man gave her a hollow smile. So many questions, yet so little time; the woman was overwhelmed, "perhaps you should give the power to someone else, I do not deserve it. I don't even know what I would do with it!" The man dropped his head and with eyes full of clarity he whispered fervently, "that's precisely why It will be given to you." His hand came to rest upon her left breast, where her heart was beating swiftly, and began whispering, too quiet for the woman to hear. She felt a cooling sensation travel from his hand to the rest of her body and with horror, she realised the man was withering away. His skin pulling taut against his bone and his hair becoming thin and scraggly. She tried to pull away, but the man proved strong despite his increasingly weakening state. The man gave her his last parting words, his voice thin and raspy, "you are our only hope, I trust you will do what needs to be done." And within a few short moments her saviour turned into nothing but dust, the swords fell to the muddied ground and so did the woman.

Girl: Why? Why would you die for me? Boy: Who said I was dying? His eyes changed from that kind ocean blue into blood red. Boy: Get going. I believe our new friends dropped their swords, and I plan on returning them personally.

I am currently studying archaeology. I got my results back of one of my exams.. And i failed horribly.. It is my dream to become an archaeologist.. To change the world... To make it a better place for everyone... But unfortunately fate threw me a curve ball. I cried.. Alot and decided failure is not an option. We need to strive to make the world a better place. Estril saw the broken and gnarled swords flying toward Emiss. He knew one of them wasn't leaving the graveyard. He had seen so many of his friends give their lives for her, now he thought it was his turn. He charged turning toward her and covering her body with his. With three ugly swords jabbing onto his bag he looked into her eyes and she placed a hand on her mouth trying not to scream. " I... I'm Sorry you have to see this." Estril said. "Now go and fight for all of us." And with Emiss full of rage and sadness he died in her arms for her.

This image really captures the imagination, I had a girl in my class who told me that her ex had done terrible things to her, I wanted to help her because I thought by doing so I'd become a better person and help her overcome her depression. Going to the councillors with her and hearing her story felt like this image, protecting her for the greater good of becoming a better person but in the end she cast me aside, I don't regret helping her, but sometimes I question if doing a supposedly good thing is the right thing to do for yourself.

I awaited for the pain of swords to tear through my flesh. I closed my eyes and awaited death as a friend. I stayed like that for a few seconds, but it never came. I opened my eyes to see a large body towering over me with swords and spears going through the chest. I covered my mouth as I looked up. A man stood over me, there was blood, sweat and tears rolling down his face. “Wh...why?” I hesitated. He looked down at me with determined eyes. “Because, you’re our only hope left.”

"I don't regret the things I've done." "..." "I regret the things I haven't done. I wasn't there when you needed me... But here I am now." "No! I'm not losing you, too!" "Listen-" "No! It reminds me of a great friend shielding his only hope from the Great War, for fear they would never be together they hold hands, looked into each others painful eyes, saying their goodbyes, the war might kill one but they shall forever be holding hands and always close. The boy was also a monster one the people feared, but he always had hope he would save a person, little did he know she was beautiful, he lived as a monster but died as a human for his bravery, his sacrifice, for his fear of being judged on looks and the way he was raised, but he still saved her, because deep down he wanted to show he wasn’t a monster in his final moments, met with her beautiful eyes he died as a hero, the hero that saved HER, raised HER up even though he would die in the process. Nothing could’ve made him happier.

“Perhaps one day,” the man fell into a coughing fit and steadied himself on the wall behind the woman. His voice was hoarse and he felt blood triple down his chin. His hot breath fanned against her cheek as silent words fell from his lips. “Perhaps one day, they’ll understand all the sacrifices you made out of love for your people.” The woman’s eyes shed tear after tear as she tried to steady her breathing. A battlecry could be heard miles away as the woman fell to her knees - her lovers lifeless body once again in her arms. She remembered the way her mother would sing her and her siblings to sleep and so she did exactly that. A shaky voice and those of her people mourning over the death of a hero was followed by swords of enemies clattering to the ground. They finally understood what it meant to loose.

This is nice music to listen to while drawing. Especially if you're drawing mythical creatures, this really sets the mood. Love it!

Through the lung it went, he coughed a bit of blood as his daughters eyes teared up. “Why?” She asked, hand covering her mouth in disbelief as the final blade hit and forced him to his knees. “You’re the last hope for the riders, Morrigan... now run.” Aedan fell face down into the dirt, a sickening thud as his body went lifeless, the orange light of darkness leaving him dead with a smile on his face.

Heron placed himself in front of Eronay, shielding her as three curse swords plunged into Heron's back! Everything fell silent, even the very winds went quiet in shock. Eronay had a hand over her mouth so she wouldn't utter a word. Heron's eyes darted wildly over her scanning for any wounds, he quickly calmed down and his eyes focused on her face, he smiled knowing she was safe. He had done his village proud by protecting Eronay. He took the biggest breath he could despite his wounds, as he breathed in blood spurted out of his wounds. "You...You are.. Our on-ly Hope Eronay. Reach the capital. Tell them... tell them of the army converging. Save our land!" She dared not to move or make a noise. She just stayed still. All night long, staring at Heron. She could not believe an Elf put a human's life before their own. Heron was still very young and yet now, he was doomed to forever be stuck here, constantly feeling the pain of those curse swords stuck within him. That night all Eronay could think of...was his last words. As she is this lands last hope.

So while listening to the music I actually thought of a poem and thought I would share it with everyone. This poem is called all that's left.
