Wow! This helped so much! I actually did the same thing with my dad when I was younger. Would wait and wait and he never came. Sometimes he did but most times he didn’t. I didn’t realize that was affecting my ability to trust ❤ Thank you 🙏 😊 Every reading I am guided to, my guides tell me that I am meant to be seen and my voice is meant to be heard! I continued the cycle of abuse as a Mother, myself. My son has spoken 'Ur words' to Me ..as His memories of His mother 💔 My memories of abuse are different bt w the same life character (my mother). As consistent as I have been since he was 12 & the efforts I've made .. He comes in/out of forgiveness. Or maybe he doesn't ever & im used for convenience. Idk. This is his journey & try to allow him his process. I appreciate this collective so much. We've all been exposed to EVERY side of EVERY post.. there's NO ROLE ID RATHER be in FULL TIME as my desire to parent my boys ..& anyone else's kids too ha 💜 Seriously. Bt it's the EXACT area the enemy has buried me under & revoked from my life. I'm still fighting for liberation there tho 🙏

I'm so glad you learned how to heal yourself from your past wounds of abandonment from your mom! My mom was everything to me when I was little and if she had done that it would have broken me into pieces and I would feel like I couldn't have recovered. So glad you are happy and being an amazing mother to your children in a way that so many moms have no clue of how to be!

Thank you for sharing your experience. My mother was never a mom. I was left with my grandmother and bunch of alcoholic men. Yes if your thinking it yes. She would get me for two days and tell my grandmother she needs to run to the store and was gone for weeks at a time. So yes very hard forgiving her or my father who wasn’t around. Disappointment & pain is all I got. I’m working on healing and letting go.

I feel you shared about your Mom to allow us to share. I was stolen from my mother when I was just over 2 years old. By a violent and evil man who abused and lied to me my entire childhood. Forgiveness given but I struggle with basic fear and acceptance. These two triggers have been the most difficult to overcome.
