Wonderful talk, Bhante. I am immensely grateful for this dhamma talk 🙏 *from sutta MN130,* *Messenger of the Gods* _... because you were negligent, you didn’t do good by way of body, speech, and mind. … That bad deed wasn’t done by your mother, father, brother, or sister. ...That bad deed was done by you alone, and you alone will experience the result.’_ *from sutta AN5.179,* *A Layperson* _… You shouldn’t harm living beings,_ _as far as that’s possible to do._ _Nor should you knowingly speak falsehood,_ _or take what is not given._ _Content with your own partners,_ _you should stay away from the partners of others._ _A man shouldn’t drink liquor or wine,_ _as they confuse the mind._ _You should recollect the Buddha,_ _and reflect on the teaching._ _You should develop a harmless mind of welfare,_ _which leads to the realms of gods._ _When suitable gifts to give are available_ _to someone who wants and needs merit,_ _a religious donation is abundant_ _if given first to the peaceful ones. ..._ 🙏🙏🙏

1. Taking responsibility 2. Sense restraint 3. Contemplate the pain from 2 This talk is much straight forward and easier to understand as compare to recent previous talk. Thank you, Bhante!

Good discussion 😸👌 The more I reflect on the drawbacks of sensuality and the more i see the happiness arising and unhappiness diminishing in relation to following this or that part of the practice the easier is to follow it. Could Bhante kindly tell what is the name of the monk on the left?

Nice talk Bhante ... however ... the pursuit of the monastic life / kammathana is itself kilesas. Pursuit is a sensual goal . Daniel ingram, Bill Hamilton... there have been several cases of arahants among lay people . It is the obsession with practice noticing the sensations as and when they arise and pass.. has nothing to do with the monastic life . It is more difficult to practice as a layman ... Arguably the challenges of sexuality , family etc. maniinting sati through it , seems far more realistic and difficult . We are all suffering ... and delusion is always the cause . If we practice like our hair is on fire every waking moment , the life we choose , monastic or lay , should not have much bearing . But yes practice is key.... like attaka vaga says.... he who clings to no view , who is amoral.
