Trail braking technique here is paramount. I see you get off the brakes very smoothly and that's in my opinion the key to achieve fast lap times around this track

Great instructional video. I'm doing 2:20's around Spa (in the Ferrari). I was surprised to see that I use similar lines/braking markers/gears as you do. The HUGE difference is how much of the track you use at the track limits. Part of that is confidence that you will not run wide, I know this. By seeing how much time can be gained you've given me some invaluable information on where I can push the track limits. Thanks!

This is exactly what the doctor ordered, a track guide (FINALLY) that shows where to brake, what position the car should be in on the track. And especially in the sim of choice ACC. As a disabled sim racer playing with the use of the right side, and using special aids on the steering (in the form of a steering aid and switches) and only using the right foot to brake and accelerate. Is there any way you could should a different technique to use when it comes to trail braking, or to mitigate the loss of time having to transition from the brake to the accelerate pedal and vice versa? I was told to brake first, before shifting through the gears, is this true in real life and what's the pros and cons of performing this technique? Final question (oh and I have subbed also), is there a way to gain time, if the car is slightly out of position in order not to overwork the hand that is steering? Many thanks for an awesome video. I really like Spa. Uphill braking zones that allow a lot of rear braking. The flat-out parts are curvy and punish you if you don't nail the line and keep the TC. All those segments are linked with a combination that forces you to rotate the car with gas and brakes and they all have different speeds. I'm slowly moving from the 19th to the 18th. But I keep two wheels between the white lines, so I don't use the cubes as much as you do.

Oooooooookay, I take all the turns with the same car but one gear lower, I am amazed by what you do.

GTR2 I'm doing 2:17 in the Corvette C5R however that's on the 2003 track which for me has an easier bus stop chicane, the latest Spa on Asseto Corsa I find it difficult getting back on the power coming out of the bus stop chicane usually end up spinning out.

So I am a complete noob when it comes to actual technical driving and by that I mean fiddling with the car as you drive ..did I understand right he turned off traction controll at that series of turns at the start...if so does he turn it back on after them ?

That 2nd uphill corner is killing me. Unless i roll off the throttle it either undetersteers or just spins off track... How are you able to keep full throttle thru that? (I'm using a porsche 991 btw)

ich hab vor 4 monaten jetzt die 17 geknackt (17,4) und das nach 3j acc, nächster step wäre die 16 was für mich aber irgendwie unereichbar erscheint da ich schon mit der 17,4 am limit war (find ich). die tipps die du gegeben hast versuch ich schon seit monaten so umzusetzen (da sie indem sinne nix neues sind außer die tc verstellungen)aber ich werd einfach nicht schneller. gibt es vllt noch andere tipps? aso was vllt noch hilft ich bin schreibtischracer ^^ hab ne moza r5 und die thrustmaster tpa loadcell pedale

For me turn 11 is always the hardest to get right lap after lap. Bus stop chicane is also difficult for me to nail consistently. Also, I've tried running Eau Rouge in 6th gear and TC off and I just can't do it. I always have to have TC2 and 5th gear or I'll lose the car (I drive Macca if it makes any difference)

The problem with this game is that the setup hold up to 3 secs for average and good drivers, plus its hard to make it yourself If you cant do what he does first check your setups. In every track i gained at least 2s with good setup
