I went to a small concert at my friend Bob's house in Carel, Calif. and the writer of this song was performing it, I had the song book and was glued to this song just from reading tthe music. Dave was incredible and I wanted to say something to him, but I was starstruck when he played this song. I am a 73 year old pianist, I play at a restaurant in Salem, Oregon and this is a song I am going to be playing but nothing I can ever do can come close to this with this amazing singer. Thanks so much for sharing this. Julie Domac ps This song is a haunting memory which I find I can never forget. One of the greatest songs ever written.

I’d sell my soul for a voice that good-such control, perfect pitch and timing, such beautiful and emotional styling-I get choked up every time I play this. You are an absolute wonder Kate! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope someday I’ll see you sing live. Please think about coming to our wonderful jazz club in Cleveland, the Bop Stop.

Oh my goodness….I’ve never heard that intro…. Magnificent. Thanks for keeping Dave’s music alive and making it your own, Kate. This was devastatingly beautiful. The band was also top notch. Why this song isn’t yet a standard boggles my mind. But it will be. You’re helping get it there. Marvelous work!
