I am in the USA and had never heard of "Honey We're Killing The Kids." I just checked out a random episode and Dara is absolutely correct. Also "You claim to love both of your children...." How horrible. Never mind that once the kids are 18 years old the parents aren't really that much influence. The "bad pictures" looked like they were actually 65 not 40. Don't forget smoking and drinking that the kids aren't doing yet. How is this even a show? But Dara is right- bald then not bald.

I remember first time I watched the full show (on DVD). Most of the gags are still as funny as they were back then. It is all about the delivery and the audience's reactions.

I was in you are what you eat when my girlfriend signed us up, whole family. It was not helpful and she's a fucking liar. See first off they film several of the "days" where they visit you all in one go. For me this meant doing a night shifts traveling to London for a 10am filing and then traveling home without sleep for another night shift. By 5pm they were still not ready for us. I could have had a full mornings sleep. But I had to leave to go back to work as I had to allow travel time. What they did is have a fake call with me where Gillian told me off for "refusing" to attend the planned gym session. You know the kind of refusing where you are so commited you go two days without sleep. This kind of abusive behaviours is actually a contributor to fat people being over weight, it's a bad coping mechanism for poor mental health. Someone told us she's also not actually a doctor and just lies because it sounded good for the show. Also she tells you she follows her diet plan religiously and never deviates. She will spout this when someone on the show has cheated on the diet to shame them. But when we were in London she was eating a creamy pasta bake with garlic bread.

10/10 every time. 🙂

Maybe right Dara.. Just maybe.. Hear me out on this one.. The kid ate healthier. And exercised more. So thus got a better paying job because they managed to get up for school every day feeling healthier, which in turn led them to better exam results. So now with the better job and more money, when MPB kicked in, they could pay for a weave ala your Elton John creature or even Wayne Rooney say? And yes.. This was meant as satire. It is indeed a ridiculous premise that eating better would in fact prevent MPB.

I know Dara makes fun of Gillian McKeith here but on a serious note, for anyone wanting to balance hormones (particularly during/post menopause) or can't understand why they aren't losing weight no matter what they do, her healthy eating regime is THE ONLY ONE THAT WORKS, trust me. No faddy gimmicks, no plugging of enzyme-inducing products that cost an absolute fortune, just solid advice that relieves a multitude of health issues as well as shifting the weight. I've stuck to it now for 20 years and people still think I'm in my early 40's (I'm late 60's). Sorry, Dara, but I'm not with you on this one. x
