I love their song "Mama" because it reminds me of my own relationship with my mama. She's been gone since 2013 so I get weepy when I listen to the song but the video is very sweet.

Mel B is local to me. She’s from the same city (Leeds). The Spice Girls were pioneers in some ways. They wrote their own songs and every decision they made was made as a group. They made sure all members had singing parts (most girl groups prior had one main singer and the rest were back ups). They even made their own record deal when they parted ways with their manager

They were Micheal Jackson HUGE in the the late 90’s!! They truly were Iconic!! They were all about fun and just doin there thing and they were not the best singers but They wrote every song they did

Awesome that you checked out one of my most favorite Spice Girls songs! :D This didn't just give me a kick of nostalgia, it was like nostalgia punched me in the face. I wish I could turn back time to when I was rocking to this song as a 10-year-old kid (or somewhere around that age). It has such wonderful 90s vibes.

I totally forgot about this song too! I think "Wannabe" is probably their most famous song, at least to me. I really liked this one too though. It is like Spice Girls did a collaboration with Stevie Wonder, lol. As people have said, Mel B. is the African American and she was a judge on America's Got Talent for a long time. One of the other Spice Girls is "Posh Spice" who is Victoria Bekham, David Bekham's (the soccer player or football in the UK, lol) wife. They were huge in the 90s but you either loved or hated them it seemed, at least in the US. I always liked them. They performed in the closing ceremonies for the London Olympics in 2012 also and they were a huge hit because people had desperately been wanting them to reunite and tour which they eventually did and I think still have more plans to do.
