@@FiveMissilesi mean it would definitely be useful. i think if i had these resources i'd build PCs for friends either as gifts or just charge whatever the components cost me. i like to knit for its own sake so i give people free stuff, though i imagine you'd have to be extremely wealthy to be comfortable giving away PCs away like knitted scarves all the time

Suprisingly, I didn't have problems with it. At least at the start the temps were good, and then I just kinda let it go. Cyberpunk 1080p Ultra (upon release) was a cinematic experience, for sure - 30 fps :'D But that's also the limitations of the GPU in it.

I had a pc that had the quadro 2000 graphics card, 8gb ram and didn't realize how bad it was until I got into building my own pc and saving up and looking for good deals but felt bad for my dad buying it for me for 400 bucks but he made me very happy and I did play some minecraft on it and made me into pcs more so yeah. Oh and I also got to use the case to build my friend a pc when I bought another prebuilt that was better and upgrade it so I can use those and just not to ever use the stuff I had before but yeah lesson learned always ask about the gpu and cpu before buying and also other specs.

Fun fact: You could theoretically make CS:GO reach 60 fps on that system. All you'd have to do is change the game's resolution while fullscreen to 800x600. That's how I would get 60 fps on a GT 610 + Phenom II X4 955 system, which I had up until 2020. That and setting all the graphics settings to low

My Dad's old machine that I just replaced for him has a Core I5 2 something and 8 gb of DDR3, and it is quite capable. In fact, it played War Thunder fine on decent settings @ 60 FPS with a 750 TI in it.

I've still had worse. The first computer I had as a kid took around 5 minutes to load a webpage. It was a 1996 Monorail all in one, bought second hand from a pawn shop in I think 1998 or 1999. But hey it allowed 8-10 year old me start my first journey into the world wide web. Only had to suffer that combined with AOL dial up for two years before we upgraded to a MUCH better desktop that could actually play games. Some specs: 1.0GB HD 10.4-inch LCD display boasting a mind blowing 640x480 resolution 16MB RAM, 512kB VRAM 4X CD-ROM drive

if you don't have a core2 duo with the thermal paste and some dirt on it on your stash, it's not a good stash. Good vid though. Although I must say, I used the 710 for a long time (I upgraded the cpu first to a ryzen and the 1050ti was expensive) and it's not thaat bad, it works for anything but AAA titles (at least 5 years ago)

That is supprisingly close to my old pc. I used to have a 760 gpu and a slightly better cpu (4 core 8 thread 2,3 ghz.) though I'm still running ddr3 ram. THe motherboard is some pos that I have no idea what it even is but it works so I'm not gonna complain.

I was gonna make a comment about using an amd a9-9425 using the integrated graphics, but damn… (it’s so bad that it takes longer to watch a video at 480p than to just watch the video, even 144p is terrible and the website itself struggles bad) Edit: I geekbenched it and it got a 715 multi-core 😔

5:59 That's a mATX which stands for micro ATX which is a smaller motherboard factor! mATX generally only has 2 RAM! Slots and they are a limited expansion! the ATX motherboards are a lot bigger and generally have only 4 RAM! slots! The latest boards are larger than ATX, they are called eATX, the e stands for extended which means they generally have more ports! Although eATX have more ports the most popular motherboard currently is the Standard ATX!

until like a month ago i still used a gt730 2gb that was passive cooled and for me even the upgrade to a used 1050 ti felt like gaining overpowered pc status. I mean, the thing plays war thunder on 120fps high settings with a used 8 year old fx6300, a used asus sabertooth, and some used ddr3 2x8gb. My whole pc probably cost less than a rtx 3060, the hell people needing all that graphics power for other than to flex
