Always dangerous, shouldn't watch you guys before going out for a ride... Sick 🤘 we don't have these views in Quebec but trails are getting better... I wanted to try a local rockslide 20 foot thing by the river today but its raining. We'll see 😂 "just avoid the green stuff"

Dave - super fast! it looks like E-Bikes make it tempting to go too fast in some parts of a trail. Is that correct? I’d imagine you always have to to a speed check on yourself.

The extra weight takes a bit of getting used to. I've definitely had a few instances on ebikes where it felt like I was on a runaway freight train. It really highlights the need for good brakes on ebikes haha.

So I’m wondering if you hit that drop on a normal bike whether you would’ve cashed it at that speed, or did the weight of the E bike make you hit it a little faster?

Are you referring to the first attempt where I went too slow? I definitely wouldn't need as much speed on a normal bike because it's easier to pop and throw around, but whether I would have been able to clear it going that slow is up for debate as it's hard to bunnyhop from a downslope. The ebike definitely requires extra speed and/or body english with all that weight. I zoomed in on the ebike display and I was going about 4km/h on the first attempt and 13km/h on the second attempt.

Yep! We rode it on the regular bikes. I have a bit more footage from our first day on the e-bikes and then I’ll start going through the rest. Was a wicked trail!

I didn’t think you guys would pass up that trail. I ride an e-bike and a regular bike as well. I have not ridden Casino Royal as of yet. However, I’m curious, did you ride your regular bike instead of the e-bike because of the features on that trail? Would you even try riding that trail on your e-bike? I’m just looking for some feedback on riding e-bikes. I really like my e-bike but I find it quite awkward to handle on big features and on really steep trails. This I feel is attributed to the massive weight difference in bikes. Thoughts?
