I wrote a little story based on this playlist. It was super good and inspired me to write. A little context for the story is that two partners robbed a wealthy mob boss, but only one made it out. The one who got caught blames their partner for leaving them. The story is when the two meet again. (btw Rain is the one who was left behind) also trigger warning The sun was low in the sky, casting a red glow across the beach. There was a faint crackling of a bonfire in the distance, and the sound of far away music danced around a pair on the sands. The sound of sand under Rain's boot was all Ezra could hear before a hand covered his mouth. A voice whispered in his ear, "Scream, and you're dead." Rain wouldn't kill him yet, but he didn't know that. Ezra slowly nodded to show he understood. The voice whispered again, "Drop your weapons." Ezra dropped a small knife onto the sand and kicked it away. "Good." Rain said louder than before. She let go of Ezra and he turned to see who had sneaked up on him. He probably wouldn't have been able to recognize Rain if her face hadn't been in his dreams since he last saw her. Her hair was cut short and looked like it had been hacked off recently. Rain's face had a new scar running from under her eye to her neck and looked at Ezra with rage. "Oh my god. You're alive." Ezra muttered before trying to hug Rain. She held her arm up and pushed Ezra away. She shook her head and spoke quietly, but confidently. "You don't get to leave me to die, and then get all happy when I don't. I'm here with no thanks to you." "I'm sorry." Ezra tried to say before he was cut off. "No." Rain said laughing softly. "There will no sorrys." Ezra looked at Rain with fear in his eyes when he realized this wasn't a happy reunion. "There will be no sorrys. You don't deserve to apologize." Rain stepped towards Ezra and he took a step back. "Rain please. I didn't want to leave you, but if I got caught I wouldn't be able to help. I didn't leave you. I promise. I wanted to help." Ezra's voice got more panicked while Rain smiled. She knew how it felt to be begging for her life, and he made her go through that. "You never helped me. You never were going to help me. You just wanted the money, didn't you." Ezra shook his head while Rain laughed. She pulled a knife out from behind her. The blade glinted in the low sunlight and gave Rain an even more crazed look. "Remember when you gave me this. It was a week before the heist and we were preparing. You told me to keep it on me just in case things went wrong. It's funny honestly," Rain's smile turned into a frown. "This is the knife that gave me this." She pointed to the scar that ran down her face and neck. "It's also the one I cut my hair with once I got out of that hell hole they kept me in. My hair was past the point of saving. Just like you." Ezra was desperately trying to figure out how to get out of this situation. "Rain please. Spare me and I'll help you make them pay. I'll kill them for you." Rain shook her head. "You caused this, you can't fix it." Rain took a quick step forward and grabbed Ezra, pressing the knife into his neck, but not cutting deep. The cold metal drew a small trickle of blood that ran down Ezra's neck. Rain leaned in and whispered, her lips brushing against Ezra's ear, "I already lived through my hell, it's time to live through yours." Rain hit Ezra over the head with the knife knocking him out. She grinned as she carried him to her car. The only thing left on the beach was a few footprints, and a knife stained with blood. If you like this I can write a part 2 or what happened before this in the heist :) Edit: Part 2!!! It was well into the night when the car pulled off the highway. There was a small pathway in the woods that the car drove down. Rain glanced over at Ezra and laughed. It was so easy to catch him, but he was the one that got away before. the path seemed normal enough, and Rain could just see her house from behind the trees. It was small, but it was enough for her. The car pulled into the small garage on the side of the house and Rain stepped out. She grabbed Ezra and brought him into the house. She put him in the kitchen and started making herself tea. She didn't bother tieing Erza up but she kept an eye on him. Rain turned to pour her tea when Ezra started to wake up. She looked up and set down her mug. Ezra's eyes locked with Rain's and he froze. "Where am I?" He asked fear lacing his voice. Rain shrugged. "We aren't far from the road, but it's far enough to make sure no one can hear you." Rain picked her mug up and took a sip. She tipped her head towards the pitcher and asked Ezra, "Want some tea?" Ezra shook his head and muttered, "You are insane." Rain sipped her tea again. "Maybe, but who isn't a little insane?" Ezra looked down at his wrists and ankles. A look of suprise crossed his face when he realized he wasn't bound. "I didn't think you'd be able to run, but I have rope if you're planning on escaping." Ezra shook his head. "Nope, I wasn't planning on going anywhere. This house seems cozy." Rain laughed, his sarcasm still made her laugh, even if she did hate him. "So you're still human, huh? Whatever possesed you to kidnap me left a little bit of the Rain I knew before." Rain frowned and walked over to Ezra. "You have no right to critize me, you left me for dead. You had no idea what they would do to me, or if I would make it out." Ezra looked up at Rain and said, "I told you I was sorry. I didn't mean to leave you for dead, it was self preservation." Rain scoffed. "You didn't tell anyone. Not my parents, not the cops. You didn't even try to help me." "I was scared." Ezra exclaimed. "I didn't know how to tell your parents I lost their daughter. I didn't know how to go to the cops and say 'Hey, my friend got kidnapped by this crime boss while be were robbing their house, can you help?' I just hid, Rain. I just hid." "You seemed pretty relaxed on the beach. I didn't even try to quiet my footsteps or sneak up on you. If I was hiding from a crime boss I wouldn't be sleeping on a beach." Rain said angrily. "I made a house in the woods, grew my own food so I didn't have to go to the store just in case someone was looking for me. My parents didn't know I was alive until I was sure I was safe, and even then I still have trouble sleeping." Rain had tears in her eyes as she spoke. "You don't know what I went through while you bathed in the sun." Neither spoke for a long time and it seemed like Rain wasn't fully present until Ezra spoke. "Rain I know that I should have helped you, and I don't know the half of what you went through, but let me help you now. Killing me won't help. Just talk to me, let me help you." Rain looked at Ezra and sighed. She walked back over to the kitchen and looked down at her tea. "Just go. Get out of here." Rain muttered. She didn't know how to feel, but she couldn't kill Ezra now. She couldn't do it and she hated that. She wanted to make someone hurt like she hurt, make someone feel like she did. Ezra took his chance and ran out of the house, the door slamming behind him. Rain sunk to her knees and started crying. She slammed her fist into the cabinet behind her and her cup of tea fell to the floor, the hot water spraying everywhere. Rain wanted to break something, to hurt someone, but she couldn't. She felt hopeless, and helpless. She hated the feeling, but she couldn't feel anything else. She was still crying when someone opened her front door. Ezra walked towards the kitchen a knife now in his hand. He scoffed at the sight he saw in front of him. "Oh Rain." He said kneeling down. "Clean up, there's someone here to see you." I have ideas for a part 3 if it's wanted, but I wont be able to access youtube for like a week, so it might take a while to update.

People who dish out karma, with revenge in their heart, will one day get karma dished out to themselves, and it won't be from a vengeful heart, but from a judge and jury who can't be bribed, knows ALL truths, and shows NO partiality in his judgements. So if two do wrong, then two get the same sentencing. One doesn't get a slap on the wrist and the other one, locked up for life. Is that fair and just? 🤷 Perhaps I'm following my mom's footsteps as "a stupid old lady,":and I can't comprehend reading very well

It was a warm fall evening with a slightly crisp breeze causing the branches to hit against her window. The Orange and yellow leaves ever so vibrantly danced along with the ashes from an unknown source. Melanie was attempting to enjoy the last moments of peace knowing what was about to unfold. Before she could do anything else she closed her eyes to listen to the birds chirp for what could be the last time. She stood up leaning towards the duffle bag nested near the Crimson stain on the floor. Once she has the bag in her grip she tugs the zipper downward, exposing the content within the duffle bag. She counted to ensure herself that she had the correct amount of rounds and explosives for the havoc she was patiently waiting to reek across the state. Melanie slowly walks through her home hearing a thud after each step she takes. The floors continuously creak till she reaches the front door. She inhaled and exhaled deeply, acknowledging that once she exits this hell-hole of a home there is no turning back. She reaches for the handle. It has begun. (This was the begging if a story inspired by the playlist and a fellow commenter before me. Let me know if I should write more in the future!!)

warmup (is that a thing) I did while this playlist played lol vv The gun lay on that wooden table, a little bloody, a little bit of dirt caked onto the grip. I remember the year: 1902. Some watering hole, I don’t remember that part. Elijah and I looked at each other. His eyes were extraordinarily green, the brightest thing in the whole Midwest, I swore to God. I hated him for that. His fingers twitched on the lines Mason had cut into the table with her knife, and his whole body was as tense as mine. We both inched our fingers as close to the lines as we could without crossing them. The gun was in the middle of the table, just as far away from me as from him. It was a competition I’d never played before. A funny quirk of the town. “Y’all ready?” Mason asked us. I think she was from one of the Carolinas. I never knew how she got out there. A smattering of people stood behind her, watching. I didn’t even look at her. I kept my eyes trained on those damn green eyes as I said, “Yeah. Ready.” He said it at the same time. Mason snorted at something. I didn’t know what. Then she said, “Three…two…” It was awful that this duel required us to sit in the benches stuck to the table. My feet would get stuck in between the table legs and the seat of the bench. If he got the gun, I’d be a dead man. “One…” Mason said. My heart was pounding in my ears. _Go!_ I lurched forward, my hand diving towards that gun, but Elijah’s hand went towards it just as face and it went skittering across the ground in front of Mason. She and the crowd got out of the bar for fear that we’d shoot them accidentally, now that the gun was somewhere not on the table and everything turned unpredictable. Elijah and I scrambled out of the bench and dove for the gun on the splintery floorboards. I pushed his head out of the way with my hands, and he kicked into my chest while both of us were practically army crawling, fighting too hard to get up really. We punched on the floor. We shoved on the floor. We were like a couple of snakes slithering towards that gun, fighting like two Satans for it. Like it was our redemption. I guess for Elijah it sorta was. I kneed him good, in the mouth, one of his teeth dropping out to join the blood already soaking into the ground. So I was ahead of him, and I was a foot from that gun when he caught the back of my shirt and dragged me back, my chin scraping against the wooden floor, more blood-and he was on top of me, his knee digging painfully into my back as he climbed over me to get that gun. I tried to get him off. I did. But then he was rolling over and pointing that gun straight into my face. It was already loaded. He and I both knew that. Elijah’s green, green eyes pierced into me, and when I realized he hadn’t shot the gun, I said, “What?” It tumbled outta my mouth. “Come on,” he said. “I’ve won.” “You haven’t shot it.” “I could. Easy. You could be dead in two seconds.” His arms were shaking, I saw. And I didn’t think it was just the rush of a fight. So I stood up, slowly. And all Elijah did was stand with me. It struck me, all of a sudden, that we were entirely alone in the bar. “I woulda killed you,” I said. He shrugged. “I’d deserve it. You know I wasn’t gonna let you catch me.” “Really,” I said. His fingers fidgeted against the trigger. I got vaguely nervous. “Well, I was gonna put up a fight. But then…I need you to know, Jack, it’s only ’cause of you I’m alive. I skipped out on our bill. I screwed you over.” “And?” “I don’t know.” “You gonna shoot me?” He hesitated for a minute. Then he lowered the gun. I didn’t relax, so he put it on the ground next to him. “You can have it, if you want,” he said. “I really mean what I said, swear on my life.” “I want it,” I said. He slid it over to me with his foot. It jostled a little over the imperfections on the floor, and then it hit my foot. “And you haven’t said a thing, you know.” He really looked sorry about that. His eyes flickered away, to some stain on the ceiling or something. I picked up the gun, and I fiddled a little with it to make sure it really was working properly and everything. And then I shot him. Elijah realized too late. His heart was bleeding, or at least his lung. The blood soaked through his work shirt. I walked over to him, and I said, “You didn’t _skip_ the bill, Elijah. You just took out a loan. Time to pay up.” He didn’t say a thing. I wasn’t even sure if that heavy, gasping sound was his breathing or my imagination, my racing pulse. All I'm sure of is that his green eyes stayed wide open, even as I lugged his body out of the bar and threw it at the foot of the sheriff’s office to get his bounty.

The hero approached the villain. The one who killed his best friend... "Heh... You're here for revenge? Not very heroic, is it~" The villain snarked, gripping a knife." "You call it revenge?" The hero laughed, his eyes showing nothing but rage, and a will to kill. "I call it... Returning a favor" The hero grasped the gun in his belt. The villain backed away. "You wouldn't... YOU DON'T HAVE IT IN YOU!" The villain cried. "I didn't... But you were the straw to break the camel's back" Hero loaded his gun. "Any last words~?" The hero, turned Villain, laughed. "... I'm sorry" The hero lowered his gun. "W-What....?" Villain spoke again. "I regret what I did.. Just shoot..." The hero aimed the gun... And fired.
