​​@@sambeast13its the uncapped spamming thats the issue not empowered. There isn't a limit so if your good enough at spam or using a macro you basically can't lose even with low strength. (grappler for free pretty much)

Yep that's my Ana build. I also swap out last ditch effort for fight back or jump start since my health rarely even gets that low

Swap WDKY for Choose Fight. Trust me.

I'm a Family main who is taking a break from the game. Mainly because of the close encounter change but also because the Danny nerf doesn't really seem to have nerfed him at all (but that's a whole other topic). As far as CEs go, all I ever saw was victims complaining about sometimes getting stuck in an animation after winning a CE where they could then still be insta killed if another Family member came over. They just wanted the ability to leave right away. The only reasoning we seem to have got for the actual CE change is it's unfair for a victim at full health to be insta killed. I'm willing to concede that but then why not do something where a victim, say, at 25% health can still be insta killed? Or something where, after a CE, the victim will take X% more damage for X amount of time? Anything really to make it so there's still some kind of an inherent downside for getting into a CE.

Cook mains are going to get bullied real bad i'd honestly switch up and play leatherface it's fun plus he can't be grappled

The thing is now the meta has changed - for example a leatherface cook sissy team is now really good - leatherface can't be close encountered - sissy can run spore loser - and cook for the locks is always the best Leatherface is stronger than ever now since he can't be close encountered and plus the buffs.

Yeah. I don’t know how to feel about the update, but I will say, your family makes all the difference. Victims have been grappling more than ever now, but in my case it’s actually led to them dying a few seconds after the grapple ends. Most of the people I’ve been playing with are pretty proactive. So as soon as a victim grapples, they are there doing damage, and I’ve been doing the same. Have gotten quite a few kills from it too. There was one case in which a Leland kept grappling with a Johnny, and it took forever for him to die. It was like he was holding the game hostage because he kept grappling. So that’s probably why don’t know how to feel about it…lol

For sure, once you go through a gap or crawl space you start the stam regen near instantly but if you have low endurance it's quite slow to regain full stam again

Play the game enough on either side and you’ll realize it’s hp based. The grappler perk can save you with low hp, but you can’t combine that with empowered. So you either take easier grapples, or healing/ refilling stamina.

Whoever is mashing faster and the victims health is taken into account. Seems like a crock of shit to me tho, I’ve won grapples as victim without even trying and have only won a couple as family.

​​@@NotLikeUs17from what i know strength basically gives you a head start in the grapple battle and the perk makes it so every input is 2x instead of 1x making it easier to get to the finish, before it had a limit so grapples always took like 3-4 seconds, but they removed it leading to insta wins by spamming pretty much.

The killers are hindered for 8 seconds after the stun
