Video idea: Who is Chef Aurie Taamu? The author of the two cookbooks in Gerudo Town. We know he was supposedly the ex of the teacher, Ashai thanks to one of her students. But I have another theory: Chef Aurie Taamu is BoTW's Tingle! My reasoning for this is that in the cookbook Link can read without assistance, in the chapter on fairies, the chef mentions that faeries appear to those of a pure heart. He says that at the age of 35, he is of the purest heart, and yet no fairy has shown itself. Sound familiar?

The actual reason for the rule is that, they encourage the young Gerudo to travel for a husband, rather than stay in the town and wait for one to arrive.

RinHara5aki on gamespot covered a way using active arrow smuggling to let you fully walk in gerudo town until you deactivated the glitch. I can't remember the full details though

Hopefully in Breath of the Wild 2. They will give us more of an explanation as to why they don’t allow men to enter their town and what could we do to get the Gerudo to change that law in their town.

(OK I'ma rant for a bit, feel free to ignore) Hopefully in Breath of the Wild 2 we will be able to enter without pretending to be a chuck from the get go. Pretty bubkiss that Link isn't allowed to enter the town due to being male even after he got their crown back and saved their butts with help from Ruto. Especially since most of the people inside including the royal family have seem to have any problem with him being there, even the ones who know he's male. It makes sense why male Gerudo can't live in the village due to Ganadorf, but the current reincarnation of Ganon already exists. So there isn't all that much threat of a gerudo male being him during this time period. Also I genuinely feel like it's just a cheap excuse for the Gerudo (or at least the ones who actually care about that law) to be sexist towards men. Yes they've had trouble with the Yiga Clan which seems to be composed by a lot of dudes but based on the random Yiga encounters they can also be girls, so keeping dudes out for fear of them being Yiga doesn't hold up entirely. As fun as it is to see Link run around as a Vai and get told how cute he is, even the Zora changed their attitude towards him after he calmed their Guardian with Prince Sidon's help. I'm really not trying to sound mean and a lot of the Gerudo who meet seem nice, but the whole situation is just irksome to me.

I’d have probably attempted this but would be done after a few and got the outfit. Especially with the quadrant specific position. Gotta give folks credit for taking time mapping out the game maps for things like this.

isn’t the canon reason basically between gerudo’s only being born vai and hylian voe are weird about them?

Gerudo are primarily Vai with a single voe being born every century. The Gerudo can find husbands from other races, not just hylians but their husband's aren't allowed to enter no matter their species.. The reasoning is apparently because the last Gerudo voe was Ganondorf or something but that doesn't really excuse why males as a whole can't enter.
