You can fix a leaking sunroof on your Defender - FOREVER!

There is a way to fix your leaking sunroof on your Land Rover Defender permanently - and still keep that factory look. VGS have developed a double glazed Moonroof to replace the old leaking sunroof. Same spec but non opening and with tinted, double glazed glass. This kit is awesome.

In a vehicle known for leaks was a crazy idea to add a sunroof to them in the first place. They’re just a massive PITA could do without it but was there when I got it, I think a tube of sikaflex and seal it all round would be an inexpensive option

looks good from the outside and a good solution for the leaky sunroof, the gap around the inside would really annoy me

Cured my leak by replacing the hinges as they can bend over time. This causes the glass not to compress fully against the seal. Most parts are still available after a good Google.

Another good vid, and a brilliant solution for a leaky problem. My Defender doesn’t have a sunroof, but my Disco 2 has the obligatory pair of leaky non-working sunroofs. Hopefully VGS will see a gap in the market and come up with something similar for us poor Disco guys 👍👍

Hmmm….. I paid £68 for a new Defender sunroof rubber seal. Replaced the old one and it has never leaked since. A good option if you want to fit it to a solid roof Defender.

Nice idea, but if I have that amount of cash available I'll be tackling a door or two first! For the leaking sunroof, I'll investigate the cheaper options first!

Not convinced at all! I don't like the inside gap. Would go for fixing the original product first and definitely not fit, if no sunroof was in place. Still good to see new kit coming out. Thanks for the content. Just my opinion.
