Chef de partie here, can confirm this is optimistic 😅 Working in a restaurant teaches you to truly make the best of every second you have. And yet I don’t think this dish would be to my taste if I threw it all in there like that and did it in 15 mins. Cabbage would be too cooked, bell pepper and onions and tofu not enough to my taste. Just my opinion, and no hate towards OP! I, too, would say that 15 mins is absolutely not realistic at all, especially for someone who hasn’t made cooking their real hobby / work / passion. I do wish people sharing recipes like that would address more honestly the general public and adjust the announced time… Could very well demotivate someone trying to get into cooking, ending up not understanding what’s wrong since they’ve followed « the recipe » and it turns out way too long and not cooked to their taste.

@@ayushimishra604 You are just saying bs by claiming its bs, im telling you those number are possible; if you think its not it just mean you dont know how to cook. And im not talking like a chef, imù talking cooking efficiently, smartly not necessarly with skill. Just a small exemple, cook the noodle, you make the water to boil you dojt have anything to do, fill the pot, put on fire, wait it boil, throw the noodle in when it boil, let it cook for 2-3 minute drain it done, this take probable around 10 minutes BUT it ONLY take you around one total minutes to do all of this, becaus eyou have nothing tyo do while water boil and noodle cook, so you can do soemthing else while this time. THAT is what cooking is about, and if you understand that and know how to process a dish as simple as that actualy realy can take only 15 minutes, even under why because cabbage and vegetable, you can cut them one time, and then store them so you can just use them for few days. It take longer the first time but you earn it way more for the next days. As asian mom, wfh, this kind of noods are the thing i will pull off for our lunch. We used vermicelli, udon, ramen, chowmein, kway teow, etc too. Our to go is having aromatics like garlic onion etc pre-cut, inside chiller fridge for a week, and hard veggies also pre-cut. As non-vegan, We also portioned minced meat, or sliced meat, fishcakes, etc to add in. Eggs are staple. The sauce she used in this video is fool-proof basic sauce, that u can zng up with chilli flakes, peanut/sesame butter, or add more spices like tumeric, sambal, sweet soy sauce, gochujang etc. The possibility is endless. Thank u for posting this! This is literally cheap and balanced meal for alot of people

Prepared noodles, in any form readily available from the store, are probably one of the greatest inventions of the last few hundred years. My childhood was centered around shelf-stable ramen noodles because of my family's economic circumstances; as an adult, I incorporate noodles into about 60% of my dishes (rice noodles of all kinds being the most frequent). They truly are such a versatile staple, I can't imagine life without them in some capacity; they've kept friends and I from going hungry on more than one occasion in the past, and I imagine that's a sentiment shared by many across the US.

Good knife skills may help but I think in this case she is quick because she does single portions. So usually I would clean and cut up all veg and do bigger portion or store cut up veg for later. That probably takes more than 15min alone. If you just take a small slice of the cabbage, pepper, tofu.... and not cut the whole thing 15min should be possible. Just works if you know you can use up the left over veg quickly or buy one of those ready chopped mix veg from a supermarket, throw in a pan and mix the sauce and you are done in 10min. Plus knowing the recipe helps and not having to stop and check what is the next step.
