About Hot Pursuit public lobbies, are you talking about racers doing "friendly fire" on each other? Because if that's the case then I honestly think that should be allowed, even though it's annoying, and I can tell. It's just that we usually do the same thing in offline Hot Pursuit, where we takedown fellow racers. I can't say the same about the cops though, since they're supposed to work together. Actually, come to think of it, I think there should be a friendly fire option in this game, so people can choose to turn it on or off, which can be helpful on private lobbies.

That awkward moment when you accidentally lock on to your teammate with your EMP, even though you were aiming for the Cop that was behind him, in a Most Wanted lobby and now you have to slow down and miss, so that no one calls you toxic... This is what I get for playing while being ill.

@@renatus20058 Although the game presents it as a competition, Hot Pursuit is still technically a team event even for racers. The win condition for racers is just one racer crossing the finish line (while police has to bust everyone). Damaging each other just made it easier for police to win.

@@palpatinethesenatehog7086 one time in a public hot pursuit lobby a cop locked his emp on to me (i was also a cop) so i tried to park on the side of the road so they could drive past me, but then they did the exact same thing, and bc i was low on health, the emp ended up wrecking me. cant tell me that wasnt intentional lmao

I swear I once did commit friendly fire on a cop, just because he looked like a red racecar on my screen, in the middle of the night, without his lights/sirens on (he still survived, but ffs people, why do you guys just turn your lights/sirens off all the time when their not annoying at all). I felt so bad after it, I left the game.

Why not? Most Wanted's nitrous recharge is significantly slower. He needs every nitrous possible, and slipstreaming is one way to earn it. Besides, he can ram those roadblocks to clear Most Wanted's path.

In Most Wanted, that can be annoying, and I agree with on. In Hot Pursuit though, I think it's annoying but still okay if it's done by fellow racers.

Most Wanted is handicapped, both in equipment and nitrous. For nitrous, its recharge rate is significantly slower. Counter to that is to slipstream a bodyguard. That bodyguard can double as a roadblock battering ram to clear path.
