I’m excited to see you try the latter parts of this series (n step Steve parts 1 and 2). I’ve not played this one but 100% part 1 and very much began to struggle in part 2 where the difficulty level spikes way up.

I’ve wanted to see you play this game for years. Hopefully you check the sequels when you finish! Keep up the great content

The vibes really are similar to vvvvv but in the best way possible. Simple premise but solid puzzles... Wonder how difficult the later stages can get and if it can let you go outside the levels you have easy access to like the bunny game.... Huge potential and very looking forward to seeing more of this!

this game has some of the best puzzle design there is in my opinion, all of the stars are possible in one screen but require some extreme thinking and planning ahead

The simple art style and tile-based movement actually remind me of Squishcraft! And that game was a blast to watch Tyler get through so I'm excited for more of this series too!

In espace, it dosent even had dog food for eat, but some kind of pasta with nutrients.Laika died alone and abandoned by the government in space. Instead of revealing Laika's death to the world, the government said she had returned safely to Earth and was now living with an elderly woman. The purpose of sending Laika into space was to test a space module. Only after a long time did they discover the truth about Laika, and that her life did not end happily in a house with an elderly woman, but rather alone in outer space... 😔

I knew an orange cat named Steve that would just walk around my neighborhood when I was a kid, I’d like to think he was just playing this game.

I remember playing this game! Such a hidden jem. Also, you nearly had the solution a star at a different part.

I love how the start was "yeah, not sure how long this will keep my attention" and by the end was very much "oh yep okay this is my jam"

Couldn't believe it when I saw the thumbnail appear: this is the #1 game I'd hoped to see Tyler play. I always forget just how good 5Step was and am re-amazed how far they take the premise in NStep1 & 2. Hope he plays through the whole series. And, now to start pestering Tyler to dig up Deadly Rooms of Death 😁 or Logigun.

how flags work: when there is a cat on a flag, your step count is set to 5 when you die, the level resets to it's original state, (all rocks, dead steves, and living steves, except the one that you used to enter the room) AND, ALL FILLED IN FLAGS WILL SPAWN A NEW STEVE. when a new respawn is set, it replaces any existing respawns. (room entries and finding crewmates reset your step count as well, but only the first is counted as a respawn point. I think Celest did something similar at one point too) having multiple respawn points can be used for steve duplication, and this is how most stars are got. all steves are basicaly identical, there is no "true steve". explanation of why some things happened: the rock timing thing worked because the rock had already made it past the conveyers when you reached it for the first time, but after you respawned you immediately if you are reading this comment and not Tyler, please comment this information so that he is more likely to see it. although there is one place in the game where you repeatedly duplicate steves like this as convers immediately send them into spikes.

I love how the obvious design choice would be to have the characters be astronauts and the flags some sort of oxygen refill thing but they went with the silly cats instead and still kept the space theme anyway

Oh I might just steal this idea with my own spin of course. I had an idea of like a puzzle game where you are a mop/stingray, I just thought it was a cute idea and a puzzle game makes sense for a mop. Making those flags your mop buckets to refresh the water makes sense to me. Of course all of the stuff with rocks and conveyor belts wouldnt make as much sense, but the general concept of a sokubon type game where you only have a few moves before needing to land on a specific kind of tile is an idea I can take.

This reminds me a lot of Dozenbear by eddynardo, that followed a similar rule set. I would actually love to see you go back and play his flash games: Dozen Bear, Geedy Mimic, Choppy Orc, One Trick Mage, Sleepy Knight, and Hasty Shaman.

Played this on Coolmath Games during class, and was disappointed there wasn't a sequel. Crazy that this game is content worthy, and even crazier how I missed the release of two more Step Steve games.
