The Queen banned Em being played in any of her properties and banned him from playing at Hyde Park, because of that he played at Wembley and sold of 90,000+ in 45 minutes so he did a second day which sold the 90,000+ in 60 minutes, so not only was he the first rapper to headline at Wembley but sold over 180,000 tickets in less than 2 hours. 🐐

The reason “they” can cancel someone like an actor or even an athlete is that the actor/athlete depends on other people to make money. A studio has to hire an actor. Companies give players endorsements. If the studio thinks that hiring an actor will make them look bad they will not hire them. Canceled. Eminem does not rely on anyone for anything. The only way for him to be canceled is if his fans turned on him. The reason people want to cancel him is the reason his fans love him.

I was a kid. An impressionable, ignorant, idiotic kid. And I was obsessed with The MMLP. To me it was a cross between stand up comedy, poetry and movies. Even at that age I knew not to take those lyrics at face value. I had a lot of fun for YEARS. And seeing these full blown adults say things like "Eminem thinks violence against women is cool" always made my blood boil. Those same people also treated Tarantino the same way. "QUENTIN CONDONES VIOLENCE." Quentin was no different than Em, he created these overly stylized, over-the-top, intentionally exaggerated visuals that had nothing to do with reality. I swear some of these politicians are braindead. When you COMPLETELY lack creativity, being exposed to creativity makes your brain short circuit.

Definitely true. But I think some things can be inherently offensive and hard to ignore and shouldn't be allowed. However in this case eminem is by no means an offensive person, it's just creative lyricism as he's acknowledged many times. He's just a vulgar guy given his upbringing. Idk why people make it such a big deal when in really the most offensive people are the one who believe in their own offensiveness. And are shitty people in their actual nature. That senate commitee came up with that and that's why Em made such a big deal of the Parental Advisory sticker in the Without me video clip ✌️ *Edit : I was wrong about the Parental Advisory sticker 😶 I checked a docu online and it was mentioned that this sticker appeared after the MMLP but I did not research it any further but it wasn't true : it appeared way before so I guess Em points to it in Without Me because he won against the censorship and he points that if kids still listen to it, it's the parent's fault. Bro just chill with this... Eminem is one of the greatest rappers but he isnt the greatest. Rap is a genre where there are greats but no one is the king. Pop is different because Michael Jackson is actually one of the pioneers of it... That's why he is still called the King of Pop and no one disputes it. Eminem is a student of rap who studied it well and passed with flying colours and ended up joining other top earning students as "one of the greatest".

You can’t just “cancel” someone bc you don’t like the music they make. R Kelly is “cancelled” bc he did f up shit, Diddy the same, even Dababy on a smaller scale said and done stupid shit IRL so nobody wants to fw him, Kanye is not cancelled but even he has said some rly dumb things that alienated a lot of ppl. Eminem hasn’t done anything wrong outside of his lyrics being potentially offensive. He used to bash gays, but his sobriety sponsor was Elton John. He made a trans joke in his new song but his daughter identifies “non binary”. He raps about murdering babies but he’s proved to be a loving father. Hes been outspoken for equal rights, despite being called racist. The only person you could ever prove he hurt was that guy he fought in 2001. So unless there is some wild accusations about his personal life, I don’t see why any type of “cancelling” would stick to him. You don’t like the music just don’t listen. Which is something he’s been saying since day 1.

I grew up just outside of Toronto, Ontario, and I remember all the controversy 😂 So ridiculous, and I remember seeing the protests on Tv. My mother bought his CDs for me because I couldn’t, and even listened to them with me. She loved his music, and even knew the lyrics to some of them. Our country is a god damn joke, and I’m glad he didnt let no politicians stop him from doing what he does.

I like how the american politicians have been telling people that explicit content such as vulgarity and depictions of violence in media (games, music, etc.) can and have caused violent tendencies in children since Bill Clinton yet it is evident that it has the done the opposite otherwise 🤣🤣🤣

Eminem could not get away with that today as a New Artist, but I hope he brings some of that energy on this new album and let's just watch them try to cancel him now. He has too many followers and the album will break streaming records if he goes Full Slim Shady on this one. I got my popcorn ready and fingers crossed that he goes after everyone on this one.

I've been a fan since 98/99. I was 13/14, I was a fan through all the Eminem ups and downs and disses and hate. It was aggravating what they were doing. But i loved him for saying Fck you to everyone. It was a ride. Todays world can't handle Eminem from back then.

As you state and me being older. Politicians and Media tend to blames music, video games, and some times movies on behavior on what parents needs to do which is parenting their children. I have listened to everything and game everything from 79 on and guess what I would get my butt whoop if I got out of line. This world made our children soft and you said they gave power to words that is just that words.

I wouldn’t say it would be impossible for Em/Slim, because this is what we actually need today…to many people are soft but also there’s so many who want this type of honesty and truth being to told those that need to hear it. His words now may be different but his message will still be as impactful and assertive! Shit, I would hope SOAD (System Of A Down) would come back at full force with their music and messages to address with WTH is going on around the world today!
