Sure you can dislike Rolex - I dislike modern Rolex, Hublot, etc and yes my thing is vintage pieces - 60 years old is quite nice.

It is a cognitive error thinking one cannot dislike Rolex because when one doesn't one does not know anything about watches. One could say the same about Omega...even as this does not go well with many Rolex fans. Similar reasoning we find with brands like Apple, Martin and Mercedes. This argument is getting old. I do appreciate the brand and respect it because it 100% definitely deserves respect...however respect is something else than the subjective liking of something. Rolex in general does not do much for me... I simply do not like them all that much. It is called personal taste. Yes of course there will be several Rolexes I like (all black Daytona is really nice or that gorgeous pre-Daytona at 22:15!)...but in general they do nothing for me. Why? For example because for the amount one has to put down for a Rolex, the alternatives are mind blowing. Also the argument that no watch brand would be where they are now can be reversed to Rolex. Without Omega, Longines or Vacheron...Rolex would not be where they are today either...it is what it is. I do always love Jasper's knowledge as it is eloquent and very informative, spot on and entertaining. There is just one blindspot...the blind love for Rolex. To repeat the same statement about not being able to dislike Rolex is not going to make it a truth. Great video nevertheless, I love hearing his passion for watches...whether he talks Rolex or not.
