This guys plays chess at almost 300km/h.. He has matured so much since his 2015-2016 days to become a complete driver at the time when he has a car underneath him to deliver a world championship. This has been a major difference between him and Charles this year. Not in contention for world championship in last few years, Charles hasn't worked on eliminating errors from his side while Max has constantly developed him during his early years at Red Bull where he picked up occasional wins and podiums with his brilliant drives. He was still error prone and used to make mistakes and crash out, come 2021 he was a completely different animal to deal with literally not putting a foot wrong whole year.. come 2022 he has become a beast and with the machinery he has underneath, title is nothing but a formality now, there's no way ferrari and charles will manage to beat him for title this year.

I’ve only been an F1 fan since 2018 - JUST before DTS came out on Netflix, but I’ve supported Max since day 1. Daring, gutsy, ruthless will to win, and balls of solid plutonium. He is the best driver on the grid by far. And that’s really really saying something with drivers like Charles, Fernando, George, Lewis, and Lando driving against him (in that order) Very excited to see Oscar Piastri come race too. Almost as excited as I was when Mazepin was kicked out. Max is a truly sensational driver. One for the ages. It helps that RB have given him an incredible car, but with Checo (who’s no pushover) completely unable to compete or keep up, you can see the contrast of how just excellent Max really is. He’ll always be my favourite. I feel so privileged to be watching F1 in an era when one of the real greats is setting off on what I hope is a streak of WCs to make his mark and leave his legacy in the sport. GO MAX!

I never said Verstappen was a bad driver, but in my opinion an almost two time world champion can not be qualified as better, overall, than two of the best F1 drivers we ever had on the planet For this season, and the previous one, Verstappen is ahead of everyone, and not because of the car (which is yet very good), but because he is the perfect driver in it Next time you want to prove a point, give arguments rather than saying "you don't know nothing about the sport I know better, and don't use data it's bullshit", it just makes feel like you don't know nothing, which is sad because I would have been glad to learn something from you

Still can't understand why Lewis started pushing that early... you know Max is way faster, one better tires, but still he decided to give ALL the slipstream in the last corner.. of course he was that that fast on the straight... It was very similar to what happend at Abu Dahbi, he started pushing 3 corners before the satrting line, and allowed Max to gain on him before the control line, as he was on fresher tires.. Very poor tactic choise

Max has always been awesome at SC restarts! Wether he starts behind someone or in first, he will always maximise the get-away! One of the best restarts that comes to mind is the one in Brazil 2019 where he was on it from the moment Lewis (infront) floored it!
@teamracing07

Sorry, but no he hasn't. Look at the two SC starts from Bahrain and Saudi earlier this year, where he started behind Leclerc. Both of them were done poorly by him. This one from Zandvoort was great, but it was Lewis' mistake, as i don't understand why he went full power so early on as he knows Max has one of the quickest cars in a straight line and Lewis the slowest. In the end it wouldn't have mattered because Max would've eventually pass him on the next lap because of the pace difference

Max has truly reached a level of being asupremely quick and intelligent driver and has increased in maturity. If he has a decent car for at least 5 or 6 years he can equal Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton or even surpass them in terms of championships and race wins. Let's just see what the future holds. The way Max is pushing, and pointing the car before Ham pulls off, is also where you can see how Max is playing the mindgame. Letting Ham know he is there and on top of it. I feel like people barely talk about this rolling start/SC restart technique. Verstappen's move here was brilliant, I can agree with that, but Lewis, man. I know Max had better tyres and better car obvs, but Lewis could at least keep him behind for one more lap instead of being overtaken immediately before turn 1. For me, it's either Max's move here was brilliant or Lewis just wasn't doing great at the restart (I mean I heard that he got/switched to wrong engine mode at restart). This is that kind of track where the last corner is a high-speed corner, hence if you flat out too early, you're gonna give drivers behind you huge slipstream. Similar to Interlagos. Remember Brazil 2019 where there were two restarts with two different leaders, two different techniques? First one was Lewis leading, he also flatted out too early and just got passed by Max in turn 1 (for me, this Max's move was more brilliant than in this one), and second one was Max leading, and he flatted out late in almost the middle of the main straight. But Idk, I'm not expert
