I cannot believe some of the comments on this page. Attacking Beth Mead and other women players for their sexuality. Beth can love whoever she wants. It's nobody else's business. The only thing that matters is that she keeps doing the business for Arsenal and England. She is a great player and role model but I fail to understand what exactly her sexuality has to do with how she plays the game, or how it affects anyone playing any sport. Whilst I understand "fake" fans may get on her back it actually isn't anyone else's business. Do we care what her favourite pizza topping is? What her preferred shampoo is? No. Why has sexual preference become a talking point is sport's reporting when it has very little to do with sport?

Beth is such a kind person. Like I will be honest I am straight but I still accept people in the LGBTQ+ community. As long as they aren’t hurting any1 then I really don’t mind who they like. They’re choice and at the end of the day I can force anyone to change their opinions even if I would feel uncomfortable in their shoes

The increase in popularity with the women’s game over the last few years has been great but be prepared for that day, and it will come , when big strapping Steve turns up declaring he is now Stephanie and should be allowed to play in the WSL , then hard won credibility will be lost and the whole lot will come crashing down around their ears 😉

It is more about talent, technique, natural ability. If it is just physique then how were Messi, Iniesta and Xavi 3 of the greatest players that ever lived. None of them taller than 5 foot 7.
