I had to live on the streets of London only for a short while after the funeral of my son and will never forget the dreadful feeling of my body starting to eat itself because there was nothing else. I cried my eyes out when a kind stranger set down beside me some hot food and a small but very generous gift of money. Like this unfortunate young guy my emotions got the better of me and by the time I had wiped my eyes my benefactor had melted into the bustle of a capital city. I couldn't thank them personally but my gratitude has translated into trying to bringing a small, temporary sense of relief where I can. If you have never been disposessed, abandoned or marooned, especially by those you trusted it's supremely difficult to imagine the sense of crushing defeat and desolation when you find yourself alone and desperately hungry with only a bleak and barren future stretching ahead. Please don't treat homeless people badly, most didn't choose it. I applaud this gentleman for his efforts to help.

The biggest gift here is not the money. It's the recognition and care for a fellow human being.

I was homeless once also in LA , my father was murdered and it nearly destroyed me. I'm back on my feet again. Thank God. What makes me sad in my heart is that those of us sitting here with our smart phones, in the comfort of our homes are reminded of how blessed we are by watching this video. I actually cried watching this because I've been there, I've lived in solitude and emptiness and have felt so small in my heart and in my life and everyone I once Loved were gone and it feels impossible climbing out of a hole and it takes years to see a glimpse of happiness again. We need to feel a sense of value even just for a day. I hope this man finds happiness even for a day like this day he had.

Something hit me with this specific video. I think it's sort of how he quite casually seems to be smiling through his pain but when BI gives him the money and compassion and he opens up, the way he cries is like a child who has lost his parents. Very heart breaking. I thank God for BI for being one of the people to ease the suffering and sorrow in this world.

My son lives in Seattle and tons of homeless people there and I end up spending more time with them then my son lol. I love talking to them and hearing their stories. They never ask for more than a cup of coffee or a cigarette. But everyday I'm there I always try to give them whatever I can. I buy them a hot meal I give them cigarettes and most of all I give them my time and attention. I've bought shoes for one a shirt for another and winter hats and gloves. And mostly when we say goodbye I give them a twenty dollar bill. They're so grateful and thankful they always give me a hug and the tears start flowing...not from them but from me. I love my homeless peeps 💕 and I never know any of their names

I love seeing these people smile when he gives them hope. A lot of these people are broken and just need a push in the right direction with the help of a mentor. When you’re struggling to eat you can’t focus on trying to get out of that mess. I’m glad he gives them enough money to not have to worry about all that for awhile. That’s how we make the world better folks!
