When they ask for your details, just say to them "why? what's your address and house number?" as they are trying to find out your address from your details and your wife and kids names, your family, where you work.

They both got to the rank of police sergeant's but they know nothing about drone laws. Straight onto their mobiles to check up the drone laws. Sub standard policing as always. Not good enough. The SIA guard was a brain dead incurable numbskull. Between him and police the situation could have taken a wrong turn and become very dangerous.

I used to work for Conoco, now Conoco-Phillips ( a major US company )we had 26 terminals in the UK and I've worked in most of them including Grays. Jet was our retail brand and we had a growing chain of filling stations, some owned, some contracted. We had an aviation division supplying airports, we had a nationwide chain of authorised dealers whose vehicles were in our livery, everything was rosey. Then out of the blue, certainly to us minions, someone in the states pulled the plug on us. The filling stations were sold, the drivers and most of the staff, me included, were made redundant. The road tank wagons were sold. All that was left was the refinery on Humberside and a couple of terminals Conoco claimed they were contractually committed to. Yet here we are almost 30 years later with Jet filling stations popping up all over the country. The difference is they are served by contracted haulage drawing from leased storage.However drivers wages are almost the same as 30 years ago. Fortunately for me my contract of employment allowed me to retire at 50 and draw a modest pension.

Hi DJ, you can fly any drone up to 25 kilograms if you take off using Article 16 Operational Authorisation. You can fly as close or above buildings, structures & people, though not large crowds such as a football stadium, as close as 30 meters, not the typical 150 meters! I fly my DJI Air 2S under the Article 16 Operational Authorisation all the time! 👍

For clarity that authorisation requires you need two other things for more than 250g though. You have to take a recognised competency test and have proof you passed it. Check the BMFA or the BDF guidance.

Perhaps really pushing the questioning of the Police further why they are even there would have been good, but ignoring them to talk to the driver was much better. No offence = No Police attendance. Stating that they would try to find a crime (when clearly none had taken place) based on an limited IQ, ignorant security guards false "cry wolf" report is just terrible Policing (no one is surprised by that of course). Security needs sacking for his ignorance, over-reaction and wasting tax payers money.

These days tankers are all bottom loaders using a sealed system which is very safe. Back in my day they were top loaders with opening compartment lids and loading arms dropped into the compartments.

This is my favourite channel by far for working out technique and strength methods, the one thing that lets it down is anytime there is swearing my partner turns it off when the kids are in the room. Could we work out how much this cost the taxpayer. Time of Sergeant x 2 for x amount of time. Plus a few minutes for whomever took the initial call. Plus the calls duration for both calls the cops made. Plus a wee bit wear and tear and petrol from greys police station. It all adds up. If a company misuses the fire service don't they have to pay a fee?

The terminal site was reclaimed marsh land when the Queen Elizabeth Bridge was constructed. West of Navigator the railway to the jetty and four tanks by the bridge were the only development. A 1947 aerial photo shows all the land from the railway to river was marshes. To the north, area north of London Road were cement manufacturers and chalk quarries from mid 1800s to 1980s, now industrial & commercial estates. Fair play to the officers going through their due diligence. I Think there is Training for an SIA licence, (maybe) but there can't be much Testing at all.
