7 years for me, but still in it. I read something that said that we are exactly where we are supposed to be and that everything about this incarnation has been intentional and divine. Yes, every difficult season has been divinely orchestrated and designed for us to overcome. What God is making out of us WILL be beautiful.

Hey, I will pray for you 🙏🏾💕 I spent most of my life in depression and not wanting to be alive, just barely getting by until I met Jesus 2 years ago, but for the past year I fell back into depression and wanting to end my life because of mental battles I was facing. And now coming out of it, I have felt so much regret too. But as Sarah mentioned in this video, God had factored in that we would go through this time, and none of it is wasted; as long as we are walking with Him, we are perfectly aligned with His will because He knew we would go through this, and He had always planned to bring us out. It’s easy to feel unaccomplished when looking around at others and seeing all they’ve been able to achieve, but God has been accomplishing something great in us through our hurt and suffering, because of the grace He has given us to overcome. “We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose” ‭(Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬ ‭CSB‬‬). God is able to use our suffering to reach people also suffering in this way, and because of the measure of love and grace we’ve been shown, we can give this to others and lead them (closer) to Jesus 🙏🏾🕊️

I will be praying for you, such seasons are not easy, but we have a good comforter who is near to us in all our afflictions... In moments like this, I think to Christ in the garden, who truly did everything enough, and how he asks God to remove the cup of his trial from him, but states, not his will, but the Father's done. And he did end up taking that cup and drinking it to the last dreg. As scripture says, for the joy set before him he endured the cross, despising the shame. I find strength in knowing that a perfectly lived life, was still not enough to spare Jesus from the necessary suffering of the cross. But that through his suffering he brings many sons to glory. Or what of Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah (Babylonian names: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) from the book of Daniel who faced the king and stated that the LORD was able to deliver them, but even if they weren't delivered they wouldn't bow to his idol. God did deliver them. So why does God deliver sometimes, and other times not, were they more righteous than Jesus? By no means, but it was so that the will of God could be done. The scripture that comes to mind is: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." I think the answer comes in Hebrews 11, that the men and women of faith who came before us did not look to this world, but to a future kingdom for the fulfillment of their promises: 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. I know from personal experience, that sometimes it becomes all too easy to put too much emphasis on this life, but it is so comparatively short compared to eternity. Maybe best to look at this life as work, and the second resurrection as our retirement. But our God is a loving father and he does give good gifts, but being a loving father, he also disciplines (not saying that your current sufferings are due to sin and correction, but that we all must endure discipline at some time in our life, for those of us who live in him) those he loves (Hebrews 13), where by we have reassurance of our adoptions as sons, because a son not disciplined by their father is an illegitimate son according to that scripture. Deuteronomy 32:4 reassures us that God does justly, and that his work is perfect. And Jeremiah 9:23-24 states, Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.” And so, in faithful obedience to our God, the path forward may be to trust and to (as Micah 6:8 calls us to): Do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God. I pray for comfort and resolution to this season for you, but even if not God is good, and there will be relief in this life or the next.
