Klaus is predictable in his unpredictability. But Elijah? The guy has rarely lost. He makes loyal friends and allies, and has a habbit of stabbing them in the back, for all he keeps his word, because he does. He does keep his word, you just have to be careful with how he phrases it. Hes uses loopholes. And hes ruthless when someone hurts or tries to kill or destroys his family, to the point even Klaus is impressed at the body count. Elijah is also methodical. He kills with purpose. Its thought out, whilst Klaus does with rage or on a whim. It makes Elijah more terrifying of the two.

the thing is… klaus was a hybrid he had more strength and power but you see klaus you feel the danger and you know what follows, but what made Elijah stand out regardless of having less powers than his brother was his calmness and the unpredictable twist of personality he shows. you see him, you feel calm and composed until you find your heart beating in his hand

Klaus is 1000+ and a Hybrid...we saw what he did with the company of Vampires and pack of hybrids he solo'd🤌

Actually, if anyone thought Esther was the scariest and dangerous one out of the Orginals, then, you would be wrong. Dhalia was so more evil and dangerous. She killed Josh's lover in which Klaus actually said he was the murderer of him except to Cami. When he and Mickael tried to go after Dalia it failed so he killed Mickael, but only after he asked him if he ever loved Klaus. And Dalia was so more evil, manipulative and conniving that she even made Klaus turn against his family, including Hayley. Elijah had to suffer even from his own mother's expense when it came to the first love of his life. Also, when Klaus threatened to have Jackson killed, Elijah stepped in to protect that. He wouldn't let anyone hurt Hayley and whoever she loved. He also cares about Elena even when her humanity switch was off. I also believe when he and Klaus kicked open the red door and the rest of his siblings saw the tears in his eyes they knew it broke his heart was braking because Hayley was gone and he believes it was his fault. Elijah also time and time again stood by Klaus' side even in death. Klaus told Elijah he could go on with his life and live. I believe part of it was he was proud of his brother for doing the right thing, but mostly so he could have that dance with Hayley as Hope told him.

Elijah was immensely more dangerous than Klaus. You could always safely assume Klaus was going to kill someone but Elijah you never knew if he'd kill you or like he did with Marcel if he'll kill someone you love and force you to watch. He couldn't be beat by anyone except another original after taking down all of Marcel's vampires the werewolves could only put him down by attacking from behind then he ripped them all apart in the next episode. That guy is super scary.

The only predictable thing about Klaus and Kol is that they're unpredictable and ruthless, so you always expect them to do... Shit and be dangerous in their next moves. Elijah is the one you can trust with your eyes closed, and who's easier to tell things to. Except that if he decides to turn against you, it'll hurt a thousand times more than Klaus and Kol because you won't have seen it coming.
