A ZZ can be E-Z 😉 some more care tips ⬇️ This is a raven ZZ! It grows green, then changes colors to black. Forget you have it! If you want strong and thick stems, light will be your best friend for her! Give her 8-12 hours under a grow light or keep up close to a window ( at least 300 fc if measuring with a light meter) Soil mix used: indoor potting soil, orchid bark, perlite If you have soft and mushy rhizomes or soft stems, that’s a sign that you are watering too often and have rot. My ZZ plant rarely ever gets watered and I put her in a wide but shallow glazed terracotta pot under a grow light. She is a happy bushy baby.

I had a normal size raven ZZ, was super super hyped about it and yes, overwatered it and caused root rot. Now it's been carefully ignored for YEARS and it still has just 1 leaf 😂 I'll never ever give up on my raven ZZ.

Speaking from experience, wear gloves when repotting these. I cracked some rizomes up-potting mine, wiped my nose and rubbed my eye. Stung like fire ants! 😂 Live and learn. Love your videos!

I had a beautiful ZZ Plant in my outdoor garden. It was growing beautifully and was almost at the point of giving me some babies. I sadly lost her, not because i overwatered, but because we had an unexpected freeze come through. That freeze took the majority of my beautiful garden. Now i have to start over😢😢😢

I'm surprised it didn't break the pot. My mini ones don't require much repoting, but the big one grows like crazy, I have to repot it every 10 -12 months. And I already divided her into three pots and gave two away 😂😂

I love my zamia. She's the easiest plant to maintain and grows so wonderfully! I think it's time to repot her now because she's growing faster than my damn hair!

meanwhile my zz plant is almost a decade old, has three stems and hates everything i do for it. it has light, gave it the best soil i could, hell i even wipe the leaves to get rid of dust. bought it because people said it was super easy and like... yeah, it's still alive but it's not thriving. ironic how i get the hardest plants to thrive meanwhile the "easy & low maintenance" plants die instantly in my care 😭

Looking good, but you will have to break this pot next repotting. I use inner plastic pot with everything now. If it transparent, it helps to see soil and roots and choose best time for watering

Oh my, I repotted mine in very gravelly cactus soil. It doesn’t seem very happy. Could this be why? I didn’t know it needed regular potting soil 😢 Would repotting (it was several months since I first did it) in indoor soil, the cactus soil and perlite help? It just stopped growing after I repotted it and the pot is not much larger than the one it came in.

It’s the one that hast like a twisted tree part in the middle and the pointy leaves?!? 😂 I clearly don’t know how to describe it but it’s know as the “money plant” I got one for my mom in January and it is till inside it’s original pot!!
